"Sport can be challenging when it crosses into the realm of politics" -- @MichealMartinTD
Make sure to say that to the people running two football academies in #Gaza who had so many innocent children murdered by #Israel.

European states have not lifted a single finger against Israel after more than 2 years of genocide.
Yet they rush to viciously attack Francesca Albanese over a fabricated quote.
Why?
Because she speaks truth to power — and that truth exposes their participation in genocide.
Today, the Trump administration repealed the endangerment finding: the ruling that served as the basis for limits on tailpipe emissions and power plant rules. Without it, we’ll be less safe, less healthy and less able to fight climate change — all so the fossil fuel industry can make even more money.
Israeli forces demolished several Palestinian structures across the occupied West Bank, including homes, citing a lack of permits. Video shows soldiers assaulting and detaining residents during the operations.
Israel is preparing a brutal apartheid law.
Violent fanatical "settlers" who attack Palestinian homes do so with impunity.
If Palestinians "resist" these attacks, they'll be hung within 90 days.
Legalising slaughter.
Take Action every way you can and support the legal right of resistance to occupation.
Another statement of concern about advancing Israeli settler takeover of the West Bank. Meanwhile the EU continues to import estimated 15x more in goods from the illegal settlements than from the Palestinians under occupation, despite ICJ-affirmed duty to prevent such trade.
Finally watched The Voice of Hind Rajab this weekend, and it's still hard to stop thinking about 2 days on. It took a 6 year old narrating her own death to catch the world's attention. How many more stories like this don't we know? https://t.co/L6MeHuuUqr
Great article by Colin Sheridan in the Irish Examiner. It remains deeply shameful that the complicity and inaction of the so-called international community, including Ireland, has greenlighted and enabled apartheid Israel's genocide of Palestinians. #SanctionsNow
An Israeli military official finally admitted that Israel killed more than 70,000 Palestinians in Gaza since October 2023.
Al Jazeera’s Hala Alshami looks at how Israel spent two years discrediting the death tolls put out by the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Throughout the war in #Gaza, UNRWA photographers have been documenting the harsh daily life of forcibly displaced people and showing what the Agency has been doing to support them amid this unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
Together with partners and supported by @eu_echo, we are now bringing these photos to #Brussels, after Madrid, Paris and Dublin.
Visit the exhibition from 4 February until 1 March 2026 at Bourse – free access every day from 9am to 10pm.

"A ceasefire in name only.
Another dark day with 30 people reportedly killed only today.
Nearly 500 people have been killed since the ceasefire has been in place, among them more than 100 children according to @UNICEF.
A ceasefire means guns fall silent and give way to efforts to end the war.
Enough. People in Gaza deserve a genuine ceasefire - a much overdue ceasefire."

I make no apology for posting this photo. I think it’s a photo that will haunt America in the years to come.
This is what you have become. If you defend this, have a word with yourself.
The EU’s “values” didn’t extend to the protection of this innocent child and thousands more like her. If values mean anything they must be more than just sanctimonious waffle. Not a single meaningful response to Israeli genocide, annexation and apartheid from the EU. @HMcEntee
"Even if you kill me you will not enter my land."
Footage shows an Israeli settler assaulting an elderly Palestinian man in Masafer Yatta, the occupied West Bank, as he tried to stop settlers from releasing livestock into fields and damaging crops.
Juliet Stevenson: "There are 4 fully equipped mobile maternity clinics waiting to cross the border.. they're not allowed across... the Israeli govt has blocked [them].. we have to stop selling arms to Israel, we have to stop supporting that regime"
Well said.
