To all the decent Italians out there, I know these people do NOT represent all Italians.
This group of Italian tourists was being loud and disruptive on public transport. When they realized they were being filmed, instead of behaving better, they responded by:
- Saying, “Sorry for bringing money to your country” as if spending money gives them the right to disrespect the country they’re visiting
- Making a slant-eye gesture to mock Asians
- Giving the person filming them the middle finger
Tourism is not a free pass for racism, arrogance, or disrespect. If you travel to another country, respect its people. It’s really that simple.
It took a little longer than expected, but we have created a website for people to view the footage collected from Gaza in one place. You no longer have to download the entire archives to see them.
It includes:
64,537 videos
17,905 photos
Ability to download individual videos
Searchable index
Exhaustive sources list (300+ journalists)
Geolocation data
Livemap with minute to minute updates
Victim list
It can be accessed here: https://t.co/s0Se94PXWF
Please share & quote tweet to help this post break out of the twitter algorithm prison.
We will keep adding the rest of the archives to the site, be patient- it is difficult work. Continue to seed the torrents provided, as that is the best way to ensure the footage remains stored in decentalized way.
God bless all those who sacrificed their lives to get this footage out, and everyone invovled in collecting/archiving it.

I searched a Gaza war crimes archive for my family.
I quickly realized I wasn’t using it the way most people would. I wasn’t browsing it as an activist, researcher or journalist.
I was looking for my family.
My heart sank as I filtered the archive by the dates we lost them and searched for someone I loved.
I found footage I hadn’t seen before of the bombing of the Church of St. Porphyrius, where my cousin Soliman was killed.
I searched for the day my great aunt Elham was murdered, and the day Nahida and Samar Anton were killed by Israeli snipers at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Eyewitnesses told us Elham was crushed by an Israeli tank. I have graphic photographs of her body that were sent to me by church workers in Gaza, but I found no footage of what happened.
It made me wonder how many people died without leaving behind any visual record.
The realization stayed with me.
Here was a digital graveyard where pieces of my own family history are preserved for journalists, historians, truth seekers and, undoubtedly, those seeking to exploit or consume human suffering.
I know I won’t be the only person to experience this. Other Palestinians searching for loved ones almost certainly will too. But it struck me that this is a form of grief that could scarcely have existed before our time.
It’s a form of grief I never imagined could exist.
Pax Silica is an imperialist neoliberal imposition into the country.
1) it subverts PH sovereignty by providing diplomatic immunity to American corporate executives who will run the project.
2) it displaces thousands of local residents

I can understand the points about AI being used for writing or art, but what's wrong with using it for coding?
Sure if it's entirely vibecoded it's one thing, but if a Dev uses it as a major crutch and then later refines and tweaks it to work better, what's the issue? At the end of the day you are still getting a playable game.

I watched the Kara David documentary, re Aetas in Subic. I can't stop thinking this:
Anong tingin ba talaga ng mga govt sa katutubo? Dekorasyon pag may okasyon, pero yung mga lupa nila pwedeng kunin, bakuran or tambakan?

The main thing people point to is a letter Eugene Rose (prior to becoming Father Seraphim Rose and then becoming a Saint) SUPPOSEDLY wrote in 1956 to a friend, where he said he was homosexual and living with his boyfriend.
Assuming that letter is real, he still had a radical conversion to Orthodoxy in 1962. He repented, left that life completely, and spent the rest of his years in chastity, prayer, and service to the Church.
I’m not sure why people hold his past against him when he clearly repented and lived a holy life after that.
