@hatem_hosny_@rickyfm@livecodes_io I've a question, I've seen that you can use local modules, cdn, repo ressolution or npm packages. I haven't seen anything related to private registries (which is why we use codesandbox) but given the announcement livecodes sounds like a good alternative
you can just position: sticky things
basic CSS layout tricks get overlooked so much, but often provide greater impact, going unnoticed
other way to trick sticky positioning 👇🧵
And by the way? That “bare minimum competence” is actually *less expensive* to teach, learn, & apply than many of the useless things that are actually taught to developers today. I’m not simply saying “if more money was thrown at the problem, and if you taught more stuff, and if you raised the average developer IQ by 15, etc., then everything would be better”.
Software development has become so terrible that doing a much better job is actually *cheaper*. It saves beginners & companies both time & money over the long term, and it actually will be *more* profitable, given improved customer satisfaction.
Everyone is so brainwashed to call everything a “tradeoff”. If one thing, like performance, gets better, then surely some other thing must get worse?
Actually no. Tradeoffs occur when you’re operating on the edge of what’s currently feasible. Most software today is nowhere close, because of bad management practices yes, and also because of widespread developer unfamiliarity with computer & native programming basics.
Mai s'havien vist uns reis tan decaiguts i tan vulnerables. Cobertura de Luay Albasha i David Melero en foto i vídeo per Reuters, Associated Press (AP), Al Jazeera, La Sexta i d'altres.
📝 HTML attributes vs DOM properties.
They're completely different, but often coupled.
Here's the difference, and why it matters: https://t.co/mQzFLN0zrO
@mattpocockuk Will this issue get fixed?

By now the only solution has been downgrading to a specific version.
I would apreciate it so much 🙏
@EssentialRandom@BHolmesDev Yeah well, we wanted to get rid of shadowDOM while keeping slots feature and being usable in multiple frameworks (basically react amd angular).
I'm looking for a simila aproach to see if we can improve our current solution
@EssentialRandom@BHolmesDev Okay I see your point. When I said style encapsulation I really meant no style bleeding (in/out).
We've been using stenciljs which also have SSR utilities but they're also very limited.
Stencil also allows you to build components using shadowDOM, scopedCSS or none of it.
@EssentialRandom@BHolmesDev I'm interested in the details, which lib did you use to build them, how did you manage slots and css encapsulation would be the main ones

Les fotos són tan bones que semblen maquetes, us les deixo en HD.

@BHolmesDev There's no need for a full tutorial, just how to integrate components deps (js and global css) would be enough to continue exploring.
Some months ago I didn't found a way in the docs, maybe now they're updated. Any existing repo, blog post or explanationg would be enough 🙃
@BHolmesDev An example using web components would be interesting though. We're using web components (stencil) for the design system at my company because of multiple teams using different fwks. For me providing an example with astro would be great, so teams know how to proceed adopting it
@brad_frost IMHO it is also important to balance the size of the DS maintainers team with the amount of consumers the DS has.
A design system used by multiple products with multiple teams has more friction with product than a DS used by a single (a few) product(s). (And not always happens)
Probably the best thing you'll see today.
In 2017, a group of developers hilariously competed for who could create worst volume control interface in the world.
