@TbDxn hey bub, I'm trying to get off this place, but I don't want to live without your hideous delicious art. will you keep putting stuff here or do you put it elsewhere? either way, i'm rooting for you. your animated pixel pieces live with me always
@willemrosenthal I just want to tell you that I went back to Twitter and put everyone in lists and muted everything because before quitting this page I had to find the game developer that made this gif I can't stop thinking about https://t.co/u0XJyAGhCY
@konjak agree fully with the sentiment, though I do kind of equate "a little/modestly" and "greatly/tons" as about the same. Though I get that it's an example rather than a suggestion for final implementation. also everybody already said this in the replies.... im sorry
@_Kimimi Not familiar with the palette restrictions of the hardware, but it seems there's a predefined palette that has many soft gradient steps between hues, but large jumps between values, so you get this beautiful high contrast/low contrast areas
@_Kimimi Oh yes, that's gorgeous. It's a wonderful example of light and hue that is executed perfectly, but wouldn't have happened in the first place if it weren't for the original palette limitations.
@_Kimimi now that is some of the more enjoyable pixel art I've seen in years. All the gradations between grayish hues bringing vibrancy to the surfaces. Cool but lush
