The price of groceries and rent will never go back down.
In one year, they made cost of living go up so much that any raise anyone got at any time in the last 5 years is completely wiped out.

Someone who knows everything about what I went through with Long COVID, now has it and is telling people “I didn’t think it could happen to me”… after I spent months telling y’all it can happen to you. Don’t be ableist, we can all become disabled at any time. You don’t choose.
If you are trying to find people you follow here on Mastadon, it's VERY HARD, but this @glitch app is great. And you can export a CSV and import it into Mastadon, or just export that CSV so you have it in case. https://t.co/cN5MziIoAe
In the meantime, we *know* that mitigations work against the viruses that are leading to kids becoming very ill and pediatric hospitals being overwhelmed. Whatever the explanation, the right thing to do *right now* is to reduce transmission of these viruses in children. #MaskUp
if it is 218-217 GOP: the over 700,000 residents of Dem Washington, D.C. being denied all congressional representation will be what clinches the GOP majority.

Let's be clear. Eli Lilly should apologize for increasing the price of insulin by over 1,200% since 1996 to $275 while it costs less than $10 to manufacture. The inventors of insulin sold their patents in 1923 for $1 to save lives, not to make Eli Lilly's CEO obscenely rich.
Democrat donors gave Val Demings $72 million to lose to Marco Rubio by 15 points. Mandela Barnes is on track to lose by ONE point to Ron Johnson and was allowed to get swamped on the airwaves in Sept. and Oct. due to lack of money. Just something to think about.
The joy you can hear in @dansinker’s voice as he talks about some of this election’s results compared with watching him and @maureenjohnson on their livestream in 2016 is an amazing reminder that things can get better, especially if we stick together.
