I know many today will mention Dolly Parton’s generational music accomplishments, but I want to also highlight her Imagination Library. Through her work, she sent books to kids every single month because her own dad couldn’t read or write. Millions of kids got their eyes opened because Dolly used her resources to actually change lives. Truly a real one and an American hero. RIP.
A highly qualified Black woman getting nominated to serve on the Supreme Court is "DEI" but a white woman becoming senator simply because her brother died while he was senator is "highly qualified"??????

For days, U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff’s attack on a little-known aide to President Donald Trump has managed something unusual in the churn of today's politics: It has stuck. #gapol

A grown white man stood on the grounds of the White House, with a microphone in his hand, and the best thing he could think to do was repeat a tired, racist conspiracy theory about Michelle Obama. Nothing remotely intelligent, just the same old garbage that has circulated among racist corners of the internet for years.
Imagine winning a fight and then immediately reminding the world that you have the intellectual depth of a puddle. Josh Hokit didn’t expose Michelle Obama. He exposed himself.
Michelle Obama is a Princeton graduate. A Harvard Law graduate. An attorney. A bestselling author. A former First Lady of the United States. One of the most admired women in the world. Her accomplishments will be remembered long after people forget the name of the fighter who decided to embarrass himself for applause.
What makes this even worse is that it happened at the White House, and when given the opportunity to condemn it, the Trump White House refused. That tells you everything you need to know. This is the same political culture that has repeatedly tolerated racist attacks on the Obamas, trafficked in dehumanizing imagery, and winked at the worst instincts of its supporters. The silence was not an oversight. It was a statement.
Notice how quickly maganuts rush to defend Melaria Trump whenever anyone says anything remotely critical about her. They demand civility and want respect for the office of First Lady. But when Michelle Obama is targeted with racist, sexist, and dehumanizing lies, they become strangely silent. Their outrage is selective. Their principles are conditional. Their hypocrisy is obvious.
Michelle Obama does not need validation from Josh Hokit, Donald Trump, or anyone else occupying the comment section of American politics. She has already established who she is through her character, intellect, accomplishments, grace, and service. The truth is that Michelle Obama represents everything that terrifies certain people: a brilliant Black woman who cannot be diminished, intimidated, or erased.
Michelle Obama is a beautiful Black woman. She is an accomplished Black woman. she is a brilliant Black woman. She is a respected Black woman. And every racist fool who thinks otherwise can go straight to hades.
History will remember Michelle Obama. History will remember Barack Obama. History will remember the progress they represented. As for the people who spend their time recycling racist conspiracy theories posting memes, depicting them as animals, history has a place for them too. It just isn’t where they think it is.
"The UFC event captures something about this moment in our history.
After all, it’s vulgar, it’s violent, it’s commercial, it’s grandiose, it’s tacky, and it dishonors a place once thought worthy of care and respect. In other words, it’s Donald Trump."

President Trump could immediately give consumers relief tomorrow by ending all tariffs, but his advisors from the Island of Misfit Toys have convinced him he's helping America. They'll go to their graves insisting they were right when they are not.
Are you ok with Trump rewarding the people who smeared feces on the walls of the Capitol with taxpayer money?
I’m not.
Jennings was real quiet by this point.

175 more days until you get to vote against this and every Republican who enabled it to go on this long.
"This man, who is a committed lifelong racist...cannot wrap his head around the fact that Black voters and Black political power in the American South was responsible for his defeat."
Sen. @ossoff tells @Timodc why Trump is so obsessed with Fulton Co.
