התקשורת האמריקאית מכנה את אירועי הזוועה בישראל כ״רגע 11/9 של ישראל״, בהשוואה לאסון התאומים שהכה את האומה האמריקאית בהפתעה גמורה.

מאז עברו מעל ל20 שנה והרבה מחקרים שהראו את תפקידה החד משמעי של ערוצי הטלוויזיה ביצירת וקיבוע פחד, חרדה וטראומה אצל מעל ל500,000 אמריקאים.
עד אז חשבו שכדי לחוות טראומה צריכה להיות חוויה ״אמיתית ופיזית״ לאי��ם קיומי על החיים.
אסון התאומים הראה וחשף תופעה חדשה ולא מוכרת, וזו תפקידה הקריטי של התקשורת.

במעבר לישראל אני אומר שוב, כמו שכתבתי אחרי הסיקור התקשורתי הכושל בפיגוע בדיזנגוף, שהתקשורת הישראלית שוב כשלה וכושלת בתפקידה.

שידור השיחות עם הלכודים, השורדים והמשוחררים בזמן אמת חרג מכל נורמה מקובלת, והפרה של כל כלל אתי אפשרי.

גם אני הייתי אתמול צמוד למרקע מעל לעשר שעות בתחושות של שוק, תדהמה, אי ודאות וזעזוע.
התקשורת לא רק שלא תרמה להפגת מתחים ופחדים, אלא עשתה להיפך ועוררה רגשות, תחושות, חרדות ופחדים אצל כלל הציבור והכל בשביל רייטינג.

שומע וקורא בכל מקום את התחושות הקשות ביותר של הציבור, ושל חברים, שחוו את הטראומה דרך המסך אתמול במשך כל היום.

חוסר אחריות משווע.

המלצה לכולם ובטח אם יש לכם ילדים- תתנתקו קצת ממסך הטלוויזיה. הקרנבל התקשורתי באולפנים לא תורם לכם ידע חדש למעט חרדות ופחדים.
תבצעו הפוגות מערוצי החדשות. זה גם ככה רודף אותנו בכל מקום.

האסון הנוכחי יהיה נקודת אל חזור היסטורית בכל כך הרבה תחומים בישראל.
