Prof Pant and Faculty Forum should withdraw and apologise for their public statements.
Not create fear among the faculty and claim victimhood.
It is the student who is victim in this case and the rest we should leave for investigation..
University Grants Commission data exposes the reality of India's higher education leadership:
Out of 496 Vice-Chancellors across universities,
Only 6 are from Scheduled Castes (SC),
Only 6 from Scheduled Tribes (ST),
Just 36 from Other Backward Classes (OBC).
That leaves 448—a staggering 90%+—from Brahmin and other dominant Savarna (forward/upper) castes, who form barely 15–20% of India's population.
This isn't meritocracy; it's monopoly preserved through networks, historical privilege, opaque collegium-style appointments, and systemic exclusion of marginalized groups from the top.
#124thAmendment_is_an_Atrocity
Because when constitutional amendments promise social justice and representation, yet India's premier academic gatekeepers remain overwhelmingly Savarna-dominated, the real atrocity is the unbroken caste ceiling in knowledge production itself.
The system feeds the elite narrative of "pure merit" while locking out those it historically denied education to—then calls the resulting imbalance "natural."
That's not leadership; that's legacy gatekeeping dressed as academia.
When a head of one of India’s IT companies & who a Rajya Sabha MP — openly says they will not participate in the caste census, it’s nothing short of concealing vital public information.
The irony is glaring! These are the very people who deliver sermons on transparency, ethics & compliance.
Yet when it comes to social accountability, they hide behind privilege & selective silence
This is the height of hypocrisy — time to practice what you preach before lecturing & making tall claims on X before the nation on values & governance.

So, all SC students (Dalits) who scored less than 700 in mains got more marks in the interview than those who scored more than 800.
This pattern is absurd, yet it's a clear one.
Found an interesting pattern in the UPSC results: SC students who scored less than 700 in the mains got 180+ marks in the interview, while those with 800+ scored between 145-171.

🚸 Over 6 Lakh Children in Karnataka at Risk of Losing a Year! 🚸
❌ Kids who started pre-primary education in 2022 are now being forced to repeat a year due to a new age rule (NEP) introduced in Nov 2022—AFTER they had already begun school!
🤔 Is it fair to change rules retrospectively and disrupt a child’s education?
📢 These children met the age criteria when admitted—why penalize them now?
⏳ With no new learning opportunities, forcing them to repeat a year is unfair and unnecessary!
Requesting for relaxing the rule for 2 more years so that kids who had already enrolled before the NEP rule came into light are not getting affected.

The National Education Policy (#NEP) 2020 requires children to be at least six years old by the end of June to be admitted to Class 1.
This was announced in #Karnataka by Government in Nov 2022. This will effect the #students who have started their session in 2021-22 affecting nearly 5 lac children in Karnataka who are in the age bracket of 5 to 5.9 years.
This is not just a financial burden but psychological too, with kids who have crossed the age will move upwards and remaining will repeat.
Big update for parents in Odisha!
Starting from 2025-26:
1️⃣ Class 1 admission age: 6+ years as of September 1.
2️⃣ New pre-school class ‘Sishu Vatika’ for kids aged 5-6 years in all primary schools.
Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.

Your child is too young to be promoted to class 1.
That’s what the New School age criteria says.
Close to 5 LAKH children clueless about class 1.
Parents in shock.
Future at stake.
