@BillSavage_ @DigitalCaltrops @MGecko117 I think of it as the foundation of the final thing. If you build on a shitty foundation, you're gonna have a shitty house.

I do agree somewhat though and think it's less problematic in concept art than in just using it to directly produce the final product. Still not great imo.

@BillSavage_ @DigitalCaltrops @MGecko117 Because this isn't about making it as fast as you can (or it used to not be). This is about art. It isn't supposed to be quick or cheap. It can be, but that's not the point. Making video games or art with "cheap and quick" in mind, leads to the degradation of the final product.

I'm working on a book that'll be done... in 200 years at this rate and the original inspiration for the villain's motivation is sooo influenced by this line. I don't know who wrote it, but damn, I loved it.
