I made a game for the #zxspectrum. Again :)
This is the first-ever 3D platformer for the Spectrum, featuring mind-blowing labyrinths and logical puzzles. The game has 6 unique levels, cool gameplay mechanics, and excellent responsive controls.

Just canceled my #chi2022 physical conference attendance and switched to online. Would have loved to go but unfortunately the Covid situation, especially traveling from Germany, is not quite under control yet.
Happy 40th Birthday, Sinclair #ZXSpectrum! Like for a whole generation, this little black computer got me into computer science — and its elegant design and user-friendly manual first nudged me towards a career in human-computer interaction: https://t.co/zQT9qU7Nl4 #spectrum40
Virtually attending #chi2021 and annoyed by the Delegate Connect menu opening on hover? Here's a Greasemonkey script that fixes that, by turning the menu's behaviour into a click-to-open (how it should be!): https://t.co/5Y4tFvfXjl
Just deleted my @WhatsApp account, after exporting important chats and media. The privacy concerns had just gotten too much. Now happily chatting with my extended family on @ThreemaApp, where I can choose again who can contact me. Nice! #leavewhatsapp
Our #chi2021 paper "From Detectables to Inspectables: Understanding Qualitative Analysis of Audiovisual Data“ received an Honorable Mention Award! https://t.co/FQpFIWbRDX
Sketchnote in 45s: @hiroshi_ishii's CHI '19 Lifetime Research Award talk. I missed the talk last year because I was giving a course at the same time, so I watched it now and made this sketchnote. Buckle up, you will see the 45min drawing in 45seconds... 1/2
After a year of global home office, @MicrosoftTeams on #macOS is still spectacularly bad at supporting Keynote presentations. If you cannot use @zoom_us, here is how to at least get back things like seeing your presenter notes and the other participants: https://t.co/ptJyZ6WbMb
@khornbaek Hi Kasper! Here are my HCI history videos and PDF slides from this year (lectures 6+7): https://t.co/M2iKccW44X. You could add Lisa & Mac, VisiCALC, and Starfire.
To polish our #CHI2021 papers, I record my screen highlighting things to fix in the PDF, and record my voice comments, all in QuickTime Player. Students find those points via the audio waveform in ChronoViz or iMovie. Makes me very productive, and students learn from my comments!
Largely unnoticed, last year @Apple began the most radical change to iOS & macOS development since its Mac OS X 20 years ago. #SwiftUI's declarative paradigm massively lowers the bar to writing apps, but experienced developers need to rewire their brain. https://t.co/XovVZAXb2h
See our current @fablab_aachen up close in a half-hour video tour I gave last night. New high-end 3D printers thanks to support from the @RWTH#Aachen Excellence Startup Center NRW. Thanks to @rene_bohne for inviting me to his Maker livestream! https://t.co/bRTtLu7Vtc (in German)
Due to #Corona, we flipped our undergraduate HCI lab from building stuff in our @fablab_aachen to coding plugins for @Ultimaker's Cura 3D printing software. The results are amazing. It's fun working at a university like @RWTH with such bright students! https://t.co/ItKTamABR0
The flat design started by Windows Metro and iOS 7 clearly impacted usability ("is this thing interactive?!)". With @macosbigsur at #WWDC20, that direction finally seems to change back to making sensible use of realistic visuals and depth cues. A big moment for visual design.
It took me a week to gather my thoughts but I have been waiting 7 years to write this.

On the philosophical change in the role of visual design and why I think we're on the cusp of a new era. #WWDC20
How should we interact with AI systems? They aren't tools, humans, or pets. We call them Otherware. Join our first Otherware workshop at NordiCHI this October. Deadline Sep 1. https://t.co/5nWqXTgrhR
