@Aegis7up@rcolvile@EdConwaySky But the unit will then suck up the already cold air, which then replaced in the room with the hot air from external. By piping in hot air to be cooled you lose the pressure effect and the cool air you are pumping out remains cooler as no new hot air is introduced.

These equates to about 40K contribution required in the private sector. Also your pension is a defined plan which rarely exist in the private sector anymore.
