a tale of gaming psychology and how it can be applied to real life;

I genuinely think the biggest red flag Sam Bankman-Fried had was the fact he was Bronze in League of Legends after thousands of games

I will provide an infographic at the end for those that don't know the game and return to SBFs case

over the last 10 years I've been Master/Grandmaster on and off [basically focused on my career hence the 'off']. that's between top 0.2 to 0.025% of the playerbase, depending on how much I play

the game taught me a lot, but most importantly it taught me to read people according to their performance and in-game behavior

sounds silly, right? how can one determine someone's personality through a videogame? well, I can and I did

A plethora of times I was invited into friendly matches, where after only 30-60 minutes I could determine someone's psyche, down to the T. I would then approach a mutual with those findings, only to get a shocking reaction from them - "it's true, but how the fuck do you know, you've only just met them?!"

some plain examples, although there's dozens of them I won't name

narcissist? a vicious combination of perceived apathy towards the game whilst shifting blame at others/the game itself because it hurts them internally to admit they're not good performers. they secretly want to improve, but nobody must know

sociopaths? actual real apathy towards the game, tendency to ruin it for others via passive-agressive behavior, yet the ego unravels their insecurities as deep inside they want to be able to call themselves better than others

attention seeking 'pick me' females? tendency to juggle between dozens of playing 'partners', fully focused on the attention/simping game rather than the actual game. we call them e-girls, promiscuity runs deep and most of them cheat on their partners whether emotionally, physically or both. I've seen and experienced some wicked shit that would put cocaine sniffing party girls to shame. one specimen was actually engaged and cheated on her fiancee with me. funny story. stay away from e-girls

those are just a few of many. you get the gist

now, I may be slightly hyperbolic here whilst cosplaying a psychiatrist and it is true that a lot of videogame toxicity simply stems from peoples dissatisfaction with their real lives. they're unhealthy, unhappy, lack of social connection, no purpose/goal/career, mental health issues and so on

this then reflects within the game itself through behavioral patterns - but ask yourself, would you actually want to be friends with someone that has such issues IRL? I wouldn't. nobody would

enough about psychology, lets talk skill.

SBF. Bronze rank [bottom 25% of the playerbase]. what's worrisome about this however is the fact he had thousands of ranked games behind his belt, clearly showing a tendency and desire to improve

lets put this into perspective;

a thousand games;

- no gaming background/low IQ should result in Silver [bottom ~40%]

- gaming backround/average IQ should result in Gold [average playerbase]

- gaming backround/high IQ should result in Platinum [top 25-30% ish]

absolutely nobody, unless they're severely mentally impaired, should be Bronze or below after thousands of ranked games like SBF

I had no gaming background in 2014 when I started - after 500 games I was Platinum. after a two thousand games by 2015, I was already in the top 1% of the playerbase. I was close to apex tiers.

basically, I'm firmly convinced SBF is mentally retarded, below average IQ and a narcissistic sociopath

it's comical to me how people called him a quirky genius, whilst he is an actual troglodyte
