@CorralSummer@starks_arq@Variety Not sure which part of the definition you take issue with but AI tools are literally software that perform tasks, achieve goals, and make jobs easier. I don't know how to spell it out any simpler than that, sorry.
@CorralSummer@starks_arq@Variety It is absolutely a tool.
"A tool is any physical device, software program, or abstract concept used to perform a task, achieve a goal, or make a job easier."
@redtachyon Are there any? Most seem passionate about it the other direction in my experience. Except LeCun, who always hates on LLMs because he's working on something better that he'll tell us about some day.
@pollock_vibes@starks_arq@Variety Here's the crazy thing--using AI doesn't prevent collaboration. Nor does it prevent the camera and group synergy. It's just another tool you can use. A lot of people forget about vid2vid when making this criticism.
@PatrickWalts@starks_arq@Variety Maybe you should develop your own certification or licensing process. Seems really important to you that only qualified people tell stories and everyone else stay silent.
@TheHackersNews If for whatever reason you have an agent running a SMS channel, be sure to carrier lock comms between your phone and its number. Don't let others text your agent!
Wow. That's cool.
Researchers just released World, an open-source Unreal Engine 5 simulator for training and testing LLM and VLM agents in realistic 3D environments.
The platform supports RGB, depth, and segmentation sensors, along with navigation, vehicles, pedestrians, robots and procedural city generation.
It's built with a Gym-like Python interface, it allows AI agents to learn physical and social reasoning in complex virtual worlds before real world deployment.
We're moving from AI that only understands information to AI that can perceive, reason and act inside realistic simulated environments.
@AbeiV@robertgraham A mile long structure isn't unprecedented but it still requires serious architecture, and for what benefit? You trap all that excess heat in a giant bubble, rather than several smaller ones where fans can more effectively move it through and out.
@AbeiV@robertgraham There would be ten core data center buildings but overall it's a full campus with many structures including power sources and infrastructure.

@cocktailpeanut I'll dig into it! Although it's an API, a big benefit of Tavily is that it has a security layer component that helps to prevent prompt injection. For those running small models, that benefit could still be essential.
