100% admin faliure. When monk was there to deal with Wilcox, it was all good. When monk passed away and Wilcox became his true self and blocked facility upgrade and showed he had no vision for football, it all went to crap. I hated when Jimbo left but truthfully, Wilcox was enemy
🇺🇸 Joshua Chamberlain’s beloved horse, Charlemagne, survived the gunshot wound directly through the neck.
Following the Confederate surrender at Appomattox, Chamberlain brought Charlemagne home to Brunswick, Maine.
The war horse transitioned into a quiet life as a beloved family pet and riding horse.
Chamberlain frequently rode Charlemagne in local veterans' parades.
The exact year of Charlemagne's death remains a mystery, but historical records estimate he passed away in the late 1880s or 1890s at the age of 25 to 35.
When he passed away, he was given a full “Christian burial” on the grounds of Chamberlain’s summer estate, Domhegan, on Simpson's Point.
Jeremy Irons spends most of Margin Call (2011) off-screen, which only makes his entrance hit harder. The second he walks into that late-night meeting, the movie feels like it belongs to him. Every line lands like a decision everyone else has to live with.
🇺🇸 Joshua Chamberlain's younger brother, Tom, took matters into his own hands to save his older brothers life.
After his wound at Petersburg, Joshua was carried 3 miles to a field hospital. Triage doctors cast him aside as a hopeless case and left him to die.
When Lt. Tom Chamberlain heard the news, he wasn’t ready to give up.
Tom went on a desperate night search through the hospital camps, located Dr. Abner Shaw and Dr. Morris Townsend, and marched them directly to his brother’s side.
Tom then stayed by Joshua's side all night as they performed his emergency candlelight surgery, as I detailed in my previous post.
Joshua later wrote that Tom "stood over me like a brother, and such a one as he was."
Thank you, Tom!
One of the best scenes in the entire John Adams HBO series, and much of this is near word for word identical in terms of what both John Adams and King George said to one another.

“It worked really well. It solved the problem which was not being in myself”
I’m choosing to remember this particular brief moment of @LindseyGrahamSC’s long career.
Let it serve as a reminder, you can have political opponents and but still be decent.
