I've heard many times that what makes the story of King David so unique, is that there are no miracles in the account of his life.

And yet, as a 13 year old he was able to kill a war-lord giant with a sling and a stone. As a young man he survived the pursuit of an entire army devoted solely to his death. As King, he won countless wars despite being outnumbered, and he raised up a feared military force out of society's outcasts.

Yes, the Lord will fight your battles for you, but sometimes you are required to swing the sword.

Here lies the root of that great misconception about miracles in David's life, and in your own.

A miracle doesn't stop being one just because you have to work for it.

If it's true that you must bear the burden of responsibility, and that you must bear the sword, then that burden demands that you prepare yourself to wield it.

The Lord may part the Red Sea, but you are still required to fight the war for the promise land.

I've been thinking about Shiloh's case all morning.

Regardless if you agree or disagree with what happened -

It is absolutely insane that the offensiveness of the "n-word" is predicated entirely on the skin colour of the person saying it.

You'd never see a black person being charged for using it. And it's actually so normal that it is used in music, film, shows, popular speech among black Americans.

But if a White person says it, in ANY context, now it's a problem? Now it becomes offensive? You basically forfeit your life if you use the same word that black Americans call each other every day.

The Shiloh Hendrix case isn't even a close call or a grey area. She was charged and convicted of a crime for saying a word. If that's not a violation of the First Amendment, nothing is. This is one of the most straight forward free speech issues we've seen in a long time.

Mechanic tip: Check your engine oil often, it may save you a lot of trouble and money. It just saved me and my engine. I just went and a long trip to visit relatives and on my second fuel fill up I checked my engine oil as I always do. I was shocked to find that it was almost a quart low as my Accura never uses oil. Upon further inspection I discovered my oil filter was leaking out its seam. Oil change was done 1,500 miles ago and a quality USA made Baldwin oil filter was used. Lucky for me an auto parts store was close where I did a parking lot oil filter change. Even quality parts can fail, so checking fluids often is critical. Please always check your fluids especially engine oil.

The Anoka County, Minnesota Sheriff Brad Wise signed a $174,999 contract to spend taxpayer dollars with Flock in order to put cameras up across the county that will track every citizen without their consent.

Why is the contract amount significant? Well, if it was $1 more it would require the County Board to vote on it.

In the finance/banking world this is called "structuring" and is a felony. Apparently when armed agents of the State do it then it's just fine 🤡
