@shipwreckedcrew 5% a year (it doesn't just apply to trillionaires) would definitely go a long way to helping people with childcare and things like that. But billionaires own Congress. So it will never happen. And it would decline over time as the tax base eroded.

@lexetscientia@CalliLawPLLC@shipwreckedcrew i'm not aware of Andrew Weissman having anything to do with the prosecution of Senator Stevens. Michael Mukasey was the Attorney General that initiated the case. Andrew Holder, Barak Obama's AG dismissed the case after becoming aware of evidence of dishonesty.
@CalliLawPLLC@shipwreckedcrew I remember Senator Stevens from Alaska was prosecuted by some dishonest DOJ lawyers. But that was during the Bush administration.

This photo of a cave entrance along Blue Creek in Big Bend National Park was taken by Eric Bouldin, who is kindly letting me share it here. If you've been out to the park and stopped at the Homer Wilson Ranch Overlook, you've looked down on Blue Creek, which does not have any water in it about 99.98% of the time. Can't you just imagine that Native Americans knew about this cave and stopped in it to get out of the heat or cold or rain on many occasions? You can judge its size by the man standing to the left of the entrance.
Thanks so much to Eric for letting me post this here.
