Sound like many employees at Anthropic share Jacob's POV, as many posted yesterday that (1) they agree, and (2) said that many more inside the company do also.
It would be useful to name this "belief system" so that we can talk about it in a reasonable way. I suspect "doomer" seems derogatory, and "accelerationist" has others uses.
If there a word we can use so that we can have proper discourse? I'm very serious. I think it would be helpful.
@wintonARK This assumes fanciful things when it comes to power generation; also the politics become even worse when Main Street businesses can’t access capital
@shcallaway Harnesses provide a control layer that many businesses are going to want if AI is going to be allowed to talk to systems of record and interoperate with deterministic workflows
@startupideaspod This only works if average consumers have a compelling reason to make an AI agent a daily driver. But for now, the form factor sucks, is still too technical. Apple might be able to change this, but is there upside enough for them to care.
@openclaw@hrudolph@Pat_Erichsen@jlehman_ Respectfully suggest adding someone on the team who can do comms for the project but who is not an uber-100x-developer. A smiley extrovert translation layer person on the podcast
@openclaw@hrudolph@Pat_Erichsen@jlehman_ This release appears to have the most benefit for teams of software developers. I’m old enough to remember when agent harnesses were being thought about as tools that could do anything, even things that weren’t developing agent harnesses.
@wesbillman I can’t easy create agents on my remote relay machine and ‘at mention’ (or add) them from a new channel created by another machine on tailnet. Works somewhat as expected from my phone app but not a laptop.
