“I wanted to win that thing so bad but I wanted win it so much more for everyone else in that room, how much they deserved it and how hard they’ve all worked. It just gives me chills that we were able to pull it off for each other. Family was a big reason,” Jordan Staal

Game 7 Stanley Cup Final
#NYR#Canucks
Graves and Messier (GWG) each have a goal and an assist as the #Rangers win the Cup for the first time in 54 years.
3-2 New York
When MJ was asked about LeBron James teaming up with Wade & Bosh in Miami:
"There's no way, with hindsight, I would've ever called up Larry, called up Magic and said, 'Hey, look, let's get together and play on one team.' In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys."
"There's so much notoriety in talk about winning the Stanley Cup, because it's so difficult. "
@emilymkaplan sits down with Vegas coach John Tortorella to discuss his journey back to the #StanleyCup Final:
"I love the man. I don't just say that because he was a teammate and probably the most integral part in why we won a couple of Stanley Cups. I say that because I loved him as a person off the ice."
@KenDaneykoMSG remembers NHL legend Claude Lemieux.
KIDS: Nic Dowd is from Alabama. Went to Culver Military Academy. Played in the NAHL then USHL. Went to college as a 20 year old freshman. Played four years at St. Cloud. Spent a couple full years in the AHL before being an NHL regular as a depth player.
Now on the ice taking the faceoff in the Western Conference Finals up a goal in the Dzone with Jack Eichel and Mitch Marner on his wings.
Everyone has a different path. And if your path is the long way, be a great teammate and a versatile player. Dowd is widely known as an unreal locker room glue guy. And a great role player.
What an effort to score this goal beating everyone up the ice to seal it for Vegas. This is why I love watching the playoffs. Players who don't normally get the spotlight stepping up in big situations to help teams win.

NEW: A federal bill would ban private equity firms from investing in youth sports, specifically targeting "vulture practices" like consolidation, bundling and stay-to-play.
In announcing the bill, lawmakers repeatedly called out Black Bear Sports Group. https://t.co/YPguPQt9ch
Bettman and Daly employ incompetent on ice officials and have nose pickers watching reruns of Matlock in the war room in Toronto. Disgraceful @NHL#LetsGoBuffalo ⚔️
