🚨NEW: Elon Musk has announced plans to eliminate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This agency is responsible for protecting Americans from predatory banking, payday lenders, and for-profit colleges.
RETWEET to let the American people know what they voted for!
East Baton Rouge has 129,000 registered Black voters, but only 9,000 have voted so far. That’s not enough to ensure our communities have the power to influence decisions that impact our lives. Early voting ends Saturday, and the time to act is now.
Vote for @sharonwestonbroome for Mayor and @eugene_collins12 for City Council.
The system counts on us staying home. Prove them wrong. Show up. Bring a friend. Let’s make sure every ballot tells the story of a community that refuses to be ignored.
The fight for justice, opportunity, and equity doesn’t wait—neither should we. Vote early today and Saturday!
‼️3 COPS S*XUALLY ASSAULT A CHILD AND NOT CHARGED 🤔
QUESTION 🙋🏽♂️: WHY WERE THESE wHITE COPS WHO S*XUALLY ASSAULTED CHILDREN ALLOWED TO RESIGN AND NOT BE CHARGED?
Have you heard about H.R. 9495 (aka the "Kill Nonprofits Bill")? 🤔

🗳️ Baton Rouge, the time is NOW.
@rolandsmartin made it plain: If Black people show up, we WIN. There are 129,000 registered Black voters in East Baton Rouge Parish, but only 4,486 voted in the first two days of early voting. That’s not enough.
FACTS:
• In 2020, Mayor @sharonwestonbroome won with 65,495 votes.
• If we vote at 70% turnout, that’s 90,300 votes ALONE.
There’s no early voting on Nov. 28-29. Don’t wait. Make a plan. Bring your family, your friends, your neighbors. Let’s show up and show out for our community.
🗓️ Early voting is OPEN NOW. Let’s get to it!

So the same taxpayers who Republicans are forcing to pay private school tuition for wealthy families via vouchers now must find transportation for their own kids because NC’s public schools don’t have money for bus drivers.
See how this works? #ncpol#nced
JoJo and I want y’all to know how early voting is shaping up in Baton Rouge for the mayor’s race.
So far, only 6,591 out of 129,000 registered Black voters have cast their ballots. This is the last election of the year, and it matters.
I’m up at 6 a.m. checking these numbers so I can inform you. Now it’s your turn to inform your network. We can either complain or mobilize. Accountability is not an attack—it’s how we move forward.
Let me say that again: Accountability is not an attack. Reminding folks to vote isn’t “bothering” them—it’s holding them accountable for their civic duty.
I won’t shy away from saying the hard things, because I want better for my city, my state, and my people. We’ve seen what happens when we put good leaders in power, and we can keep making progress by reelecting @sharonwestonbroome and electing @eugene_collins12 to the city council.
If you haven’t voted yet, go. If you haven’t texted 10 people, do it now. Let’s finish strong.
Baton Rouge early voting is happening right now for the mayor’s race, and this one matters.
Mayor @sharonwestonbroome is the only real choice for Baton Rouge. Her opponent hasn’t voted in the last eight elections, but now he wants to lead the city? Nah, stay in your lane, my boy. Baton Rouge deserves better than that.
Let’s be real: progress takes time. Atlanta’s had seven Black mayors to build a culture of inclusive growth. Baton Rouge? We’re only on our second Black mayor in a majority-Black city. I’m not about to give up the progress we’ve made for another “good ol’ boy” to take us backwards.
I’m asking every Black voter, every forward-thinking white voter, and everyone in between to do your part. Vote, and then hit up your people to do the same.
Me and Zo already got it done. Now it’s your turn. Let’s handle business.
12. Black. Men. Self. Immolated. In. Prison. And there is no media reporting on it.
"Kevin Rashid Johnson reports that Econ and his cellmate Trayvon Brown set themselves on fire hoping to escape the intolerable racism, abuse, and inhumane conditions they were subjected to."
"Matt Gaetz is a private citizen. Congress should not investigate a private citizen."
- Mike Johnson
"It doesn't matter that Hunter Biden is a private citizen. The American people deserve to know. Congress needs to investigate to the fullest extent possible."
- Mike Johnson
I’m not exaggerating when I say this could collapse the government within a year.
🚨🚨 Musk and Ramaswamy just dropped their first "DOGE" roadmap, and it’s a disaster waiting to happen.
Here’s how they plan to dismantle the federal government step by step:
I know everyone is talking about Matt Gaetz but please don't miss this:
Georgia fired every single person on its maternal mortality review committee. Why? They didn't like that reporters found out that the state's ban killed two women

The new "Helene recovery" bill Republicans are passing this week in the NC legislature spends $0 new dollars on Western North Carolina.
WNC residents are crying out for assistance, but Republican leaders are more focused on a political power-grab, as @PratherForNC lays out:
If you live in DC and need help with paying your rent, late rent or first month rent . DC ‘s emergency rental assistant program aka ERAP opens tomorrow. Apply or tell a friend
When North Carolina Republicans lose elections they work to remove the powers of the offices they lost.
They have absolutely zero respect for the voters.
