@busywithhockey I was 6 when my dad adopted me/parents got married! I remember standing in the court and being asked what I wanted to do— and when it was all done, my grandma had me write my “new name” on a piece of paper I still have today!

I needed my birth certificate for my work I-9 tomorrow and I always crack up because of the sperm donor dad listed and then my amendment from the state for my name change when my dad adopted me and married my mom.
