Similarly confused folks, think of it this way: Do you drink animal-based milk because you really want the human-based version you enjoyed as babies? Similarly, vegans don’t eat plant-based milk/meat because we really want the animal-based versions we had before going vegan. Lol
Soy (a bean) does NOT contain hormones - but ostensibly may affect your hormones
Everyone: soy is not safe in large amounts!!!
Dairy (lactated by pregnant and/or recently pregnant animals) DOES contain actual female sex hormones
Everyone: eats dairy foods at basically every meal
There has been so much dairy disinformation linking soy milk & deforestation that even vegan sites often incorrectly report this. Only 2% of global soy is used for soy milk, & in U.S. & many countries, soy milk brands mainly source their soy domestically: https://t.co/QgzoOnV0UT
The #plantbased fridge & pantry provide free produce, canned goods, and items like legumes, rice, & beans. The pantry also supplies #vegan clothing & toiletries. Items are available 24 hours a day and are free to anyone in need: https://t.co/hUDKJDAOQE
I just found a whole piece of broccoli in what was supposed to be riced broccoli. My husband joked it’s like the vegan version of when horrified people find some unprocessed animal part in their non-vegan food. 😆 would’ve included it in photo but too late, I ate it. I may sue.🤪
In the last 100 years, the world lost as much forest as it had in the previous 9,000 years. This is largely with animal agriculture in the driver's seat.
There's optimism in shifts to #wfpb, cultured, & plant-based meats that free up huge amounts of land. https://t.co/1u5w6URe7i

@WonderwhyEnvir1 As bad as that is, urbanization is a drop in the ocean compared to livestock production, the leading cause of habitat loss. Of habitable global land area, just 1% is built-up urban area and HALF is used for agriculture, 77% of it for livestock production. https://t.co/LMLSp5LuSp
@holyfirewater The author likely went intentionally over the top vegan-baiting but is not acceptable language either way, and he covered the study inaccurately. The misconstrued findings and blatantly vegan-baiting tone were typical of much coverage of the (2016) study as I compiled here🤥🥴😒
New York Post excerpt: “If you’ve ever suspected nothing is more annoying than prissy, sanctimonious vegans, it turns out you have company: Nature wants to punch them in the face, too.” Why is this still acceptable? https://t.co/LYdT8wBF9L
