@tezsaga82312@kmb42600 The line is a personal preference, but imo if you have to install a mod loader api then you’re definitely past it. I do of course always play with these mods installed (mc is a mess otherwise) but I’m perfectly fine with saying that I don’t play pure vanilla.
@kmb42600 I don’t even think that it’s an issue of design. The studio moves like a glacier. See, for example, how long it took them to implement the concrete block set after wool. We shouldn’t be satisfied with that.
@ibxtoycat Very notable that it comes at the same time as the new jukebox chest feature. I wonder if there were going to be linked, but this was a last minute diversion. That said, some aspects feel unpolished (eg UIs) for a full vanilla feature. Textures are surprisingly good though.
@FiskFille@NoorStruggling Why not view AI as a facilitator of creativity? The most creative aspects of a mod are often the ideas behind it, not banal implementation details. AI can make those ideas come to life so much faster.
@CraftyMasterman “Almost all of my clusters are non-mc, this says nothing about the quality of my methodology but instead about how diverse the mc community is!”
@NovaWostra Furnaces, brewing stands, etc. all follow very similar design principles. Considering the common mod for it beforehand, being able to disable slots was a big concession to the less technical side of the community. One can’t, for example, disable hopper slots.
@docm77 Minecraft is at its best when it encourages nuanced multi-block setups for utility blocks, eg simple auto smelters, all redstone. It also creates predictability. Where are players supposed to learn about this one-off feature of chests? Better to apply established mechanics.
@drmsdnf The point is that Dream CLEARLY cares about the perception of cheating in his manhunts. So it’s a fun use of one’s time to consistently debunk him.
