I got back from LA last night, and I still can't process what happened. This weekend, MCSR cemented its place in the world of esports and demonstrated the massive potential to come.
I produced my first event 5 years ago, and going from a scuffed obs show in my bedroom to leading a big production team in a theater full of all my favorite people watching a game that I founded is just insane.
Thank you to Ludwig and his team at Mogul Moves for the opportunity to host such a massive event, and for being such a pleasure to work with every step of the way. Shoutout to the amazing production team, casters, players, and the massive audience that came out. You all played such an important role in making the event so special.
Thank you for watching the inaugural MCSR Ranked World Championship.❤️
@Geezer_Ghost@notgaetti There is ability to not endorse. They dont have to wear the hats, they can wear normal team hats. It is, however, divisive to explicitly oppose the message being given by altering their uniform while also being against mlb rules. You cannot protest by altering uniforms
I can't believe I actually need to explain this to another grownup, but for starters, crosses and bible verses are overt religious symbols while pride hats aren't.
Honestly, I think a lot of people fundamentally misunderstand the point of pride night: by wearing the hat, you're not abandoning your own religious convictions and you're not trying to convert anyone to a particular lifestyle or belief system; you're simply showing support for a historically marginalized group of folks by saying that it's okay to be yourself and that a person isn't inherently worthless just because of who they are. It's really not asking a lot, is it?
And if you aren't lucky enough to have gay friends in your life, you should get some because (a) you'll have more visibility into the shit they deal with on the regular and (b) their weddings are always 10x more fun.
@JeffStanek1 The difference is that Christians are not marginalized and targeted in daily life for their beliefs like the LGBTQ community is. The pride days are made to show support and welcoming to a community who does not get that luxury in their daily life, not to try and promote being gay
Several Giants players wrote Bible verses on their caps to respond to Pride Night.
The gesture echoed a familiar pattern: making a night meant for inclusion about something else entirely.

@linzz_1213 Doing private rooms is lowkey my favorite thing I'll do like 10 ranked matches a week and 30+ private practice matches. Its fun cause you can work on whatever you want instead of worrying about winning the race, and then when you're ready use them to work on pace before queueing
Cutter Gauthier suffered two broken vertebrae on this play.
He worked with training staff to get back into playing shape for the playoffs, but obviously a tough thing to work through.
