We warned you: the wholesale destruction of Gaza was not an exception, it was a blueprint to crush anyone who opposes the plutocratic imperialism embodied by US/Israel and their global allies.
Act now: defend int'l law from lawlessness, before the rupture becomes irreversible.
last week, you were told that you should support a regime change war in Iran in part to support women's rights
this week, one of Israel's "preventative" air strikes in Iran hit a girls' elementary school killing 40 little girls and counting
The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention and Human Security is horrified and deeply saddened by the death of Rohingya refugee Nurul Amin Shah Alam in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Shah Alam was nearly blind, spoke little English, and had been missing since February 19, 2026, when U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents dropped him off at a coffee shop alone, in freezing weather, without shoes, and miles from his home after he was released from county jail. Five days later, Mr. Shah Alam was found dead about four miles from the coffee shop.
The Lemkin Institute extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Shah Alam’s family and condemns the flagrant and criminal negligence and debased cruelty of CBP agents who abandoned him outside in freezing temperatures far from his home, resulting in his death. The death of Mr. Shah Alam is another example of the inhumane treatment and complete disregard for life exhibited by local, state, and federal agents who have carried out state-sanctioned violence and widespread terror and human rights abuses against Black and Brown communities across the United States.
The criminal disregard for the lives of noncitizens raises further red flags of an unfolding genocidal process targeting Black and Brown communities in the U.S. that will continue to escalate if left unchecked.
By virtue of his fundamental Constitutional and human rights, Nurul Amin Shah Alam deserved humane and compassionate treatment and should be alive today. His death was enabled by both long-term racist policing against people of color in the United States and the rapid moral deterioration and barbarization we have seen in local, state and especially federal security agencies since the start of President Trump’s second term.
Federal agents must not be allowed to continue to endanger communities and act without oversight and with impunity. The intersection of abuses caused by Trump’s immigration crackdown and the U.S. racist policing system must be acknowledged and redressed. The Lemkin Institute continues to call for the dismantling of CBP in addition to ICE and the Department of Homeland Security.

While all eyes are on Iran, the israelis have slaughtered 9 civilians in Gaza and injured another 19 other people in the past 48 hours alone https://t.co/N5lXuHKY7r
Israel does preventative attacks, preventative genocides, preventative killing of children just in case they grow up. Preventative starvation, preventative torture.
⭕️ BREAKING: A group of French international lawyers have filed a criminal complaint against Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, for spreading false information about UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, Middle East Eye reports.
The lawyers note Barrot misquoted her Doha remarks and wrongly claimed she called Israel a “common enemy.” Five European governments attacked her over statements she never made.
The complaint states the public misrepresentation violates French law and undermines Albanese’s UN-mandated independence.
BREAKING: WE WON.
The High Court ruled the Palestine Action ban is unlawful as it is disproportionate to free speech and the Home Secretary breached her own policy.
The court ordered the ban be quashed. Details of lifting the ban will be decided and completed at a later date.
🇱🇧 Video: A mother comforts her child as Israeli quadcopter drones drop explosives on the roof of their home in Blida, south Lebanon.
Israeli forces carried out a series of cross-border attacks along southern Lebanon on Feb. 10, including artillery fire, drone strikes, and machine-gun fire targeting multiple towns near the Israeli border, according to an Al Manar correspondent. Quadcopter drones dropped stun grenades over Houla, Aita al-Shaab, and Aitaroun, lightly wounding one civilian. Israeli artillery and tank fire hit the outskirts of Dhairah, Blida, Aitaroun, Yaroun, and Halta Heights, while shells also landed in Lebanese territorial waters off Naqoura. A Merkava tank crossed the Blue Line near Hermon and fired toward Yaroun, and drones dropped explosives on a residential home in Blida.

♥️Today marked a historic moment where the heroes of northern Gaza came together after more than two years of relentless sacrifice amid the ongoing genocide carried out by the Israeli occupation. Civil Defense crews, emergency medical services, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and Ministry of Health ambulance teams gathered to honor their achievements and the lives they risked daily while pulling people from under rubble, evacuating the wounded, and keeping emergency services alive under bombardment, siege, and destruction. It stands as a testament to endurance and collective resistance in the face of systematic targeting of humanitarian workers.

🎥 Al Jazeera's Tareq Abu Azzoum reports from Khan Younis on the renewed Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip
What happened in Gaza over the past two hours?
🚨 Israeli terrorist forces killed three civilians, including a child, in artillery shelling that targeted tents sheltering displaced people on Yaffa Street in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.
🚨 Israeli terrorist forces killed a four-month-old baby in an artillery strike east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
🚨 Israeli terrorist forces killed two civilians in an artillery strike on tents housing displaced people in Qizan Rashwan, south of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Media coverage of Gaza has plummeted. So today on @thenation, we're doing something pretty special: we're only running pieces by people in and from Gaza.
We're calling it "A Day for Gaza." You can find links to all of the incredible pieces here. https://t.co/eYkzrxoGwR
I don’t know if you are aware, but today the Rafah crossing was opened, or rather the Rafah crossing prison, which is the simplest and most truthful description. In front of the world, it is being said that the crossing has opened normally and that we are allowed to travel and return whenever we wish, but the reality is completely different from what is being reported in the news.
Only 100 people are allowed to leave per day, and those permitted to return to Gaza do not exceed 50 people. Even this return is not a right for everyone. It is restricted only to those who left Gaza after October 7. Anyone who left before that date is permanently barred from returning to Gaza. Worse still, anyone who leaves now is not allowed to return to the country again.
Even those who are supposedly eligible to return after October 7 are forced into an inhumane choice inside special interrogation rooms under military questioning. Either they are allowed to return to Gaza, or they are detained and banned from returning. There is no sense of safety and no guarantees, only fear and coercion.
The gate of the Rafah crossing itself has become a real prison gate, with barbed wire, surveillance cameras, snipers, and scenes we never imagined we would see at a place that is supposed to be a gateway to life. Here, we are not treated as human beings, but as numbers or threats.
What is happening is forced displacement, openly and without shame. Every means of life here is being destroyed step by step to force us to leave the city and depart with no return. It is one of the most vile policies being carried out against us, a policy of coercion and breaking, executed in front of the entire world, while we are expected to believe it is all normal procedures.
🔴 In the past 24 hours, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported 5 killed (2 who were recovered from the rubble) and 4 injured arriving at hospitals.
▪️Since the ceasefire on October 11, 2025:
- Total killed: 526
- Total injured: 1,447
- Bodies recovered from the rubble: 717
This brings the recorded death toll from the Israeli genocide in Gaza to 71,800 and 171,555 injuries (likely 3-5x higher including indirect deaths)
i have an unpopular opinion that many people are not ready to hear but the fact that Keith Porter, another victim of ICE isnt being recognized in these posts, is a big hint….
