I feel like Datu's only real mistake in the Jaetu relationship BEFORE everything hit the fan was that he downplayed his feelings. He was clearly more hurt by everything going on but never truly spoke up about how he was being affected. Sure, he mentioned the avatar situation—

[ŤÎMẼ @time0169_]

Datu: Out of character or is this actually who he is?

Something worth considering is that almost everything we knew about Datu before these four episodes was through Jae’s POV.

What if he simply behaves differently around Jae?

Interestingly, his most questionable moments happened when Jae WASN’T around: letting Kayoko kill someone and abandoning Ellora instead of helping mobilize people.

And that note he wrote about exposing the Council and Bending Brigade “by any means necessary, even force.” That’s quite telling.

Maybe there’s more to Datu than Jae knows

Couldn't find a single flaw in Datu and ended up mentioning what he'd been staring at the longest 🤭

Datu didn’t get angry at Jae for reading his personal journal. Jae's cooking was bad? That means he STILL ate it. Jae was the person he confided his worries to even though Jae was dismissive of it and Datu still gave him the benefit of doubt until the end. This man was IN LOVE.

[Маленькая Женя @BreakXerxe65092]

@Wh1teLilyLover Yeah, I guess they're a wonderful couple, even if they never become canon again 🙏

[Маленькая Женя @BreakXerxe65092]

I hate shipping couples and going against canon 😭
If Jae officially ends up with someone better than Datu, how am I supposed to ship #jaetu?

God, I wish #jaetu had been fanon from the start instead of a canon couple who broke up 😭💔

Weon, Jae era tan pero tan buen novio que literal el unico insulto que Datu le podia tirar a Jae era nomas de su cocina jsjsjjs

His reaction was perfect. For character who expected this to happen and who is still hurt here is a lot of were happening he possibly did not process but he did care a lot.

Nisha and Datu bonding to parallel Jae and Pavi is something I want so bad.

@FarroMaryo32956 I want to believe in jaetu because I've grown so attached to this couple.

And if Datu gets to become his own character, I really want to see him and Jae have an honest heart-to-heart and make amends. Even if they end up staying just friends.

If it doesn't happen in Season 2, I'll be waiting for Season 3.

@ilovebebraaaa Ооо было.
