@segmentintender@BWDaugherty This utopian idea has been tried before and has never succeeded because the sole purpose of PoW is to secure the network. Anything else is a potential security risk/outage. The amount of energy, work, and capital investment to secure the bitcoin network is worth every penny.
@TheCompoundNews@Downtown@fundstrat@michaelbatnick No, you pay sales tax on ownership of that robot. I don't pay "wages" unless I lease the robot and leases/debt aren't taxed. A human is taxed, not objects. Quit this AI is human crap when AGI is not even close. Musk and these AI charlatans are snake oil salesmen.
@CryptosR_Us Tom Lee is demonstrating why proof-of-stake just turns into an oligopoly of fat cats who use printed money to take over a coin such as ETH and sit on it thinking they will be kings forever. In contrast, mining is a meritocracy built on incessant competition. You decide.
@RealAlexJones "50-days" is Trump's way of signaling to Putin to finish this war and fast. This explains why Putin is in full war mode. NATO and Zelensky will lose this war within 50 days.
@beyrouti@iluminatibot Agreed. Machine sentience is a good way to cover up carelessness, negligence, and any malfunctions coming from poorly designed deadly equipment. Funny how humans love to jump to the improbable more than the plausible. Terminator Skynet, alien UFO's, Big Foot, etc.
@GaryMarcus@AndrewYNg@geoffreyhinton So if the majority have the opinion of fear that AI will soon take over then you're implying the need to regulate something that does not yet exist. What a great propaganda tool to implement the notion of pre-crime and to jail "programmers" for some arbitrary unprovable offense.
