Trump's stolen a lot of workers' wages over the years, but this week, he has become history's greatest thief of wages, having directed his FTC to stop enforcing its ban on noncompetes "agreements," a move that will cost workers $400b over 10 years:

@Cobylefko Key piece is the size of the space. Most new bldgs w/retail have large floor plates - not attractive or financially feasible for small biz. Easier for owner to finance & deal with (less tenants) but not great for the neighborhood. Need zoning to allow/require smaller retail space
@jfh@cden4@eherot@BostonBTD A place where aggressive enforcement is badly needed and would work is the bus only lane on N. Washington st (headed north toward the bridge). Multiple bus routes are consistently delayed here due to cars using the lane.
@BostML @jandev They’re proposing to completely eliminate that bus. How is removing public transit from low-income populations equitable? It increases their commutes/access and will undoubtedly cause the more wealthy riders to drive more. @taydolven@GaylaCawley
@BostML @jandev Yes that’s stated goal but it falls short it many areas. 1 example is the 92 bus (Sullivan->Main St Charlestown->Downtown). It has multiple stops next to multiple affordable housing developments. 100s of low-income families & seniors use it daily to get to work/appts/etc downtown
