@ryangrim@paulg Dude it's the monetary policy. All of the things you are describing are the symptoms and results of a debt-based, central bank money printing economy. You can't fix the problem with tax policy and throwing more broken money at it.
What is the Pentagon doing with $1 Trillion dollars a year
It's not winning wars, it's not producing missiles and it's not maintaining navy ships
Where is the money going
The Sinners is out today everywhere. Have you heard it and which parts hit home for you the most?
This song was written in LA with myself, @danny_duke and @matthew.pauling. It started as a campfire song and became something much bigger.
This is a song about the frustration many of us feel with the Epst^in files, the mountain of receipts, and the total lack of real justice and accountability. Hollywood’s been complicit in looking away, sometimes worse. “Hate the sin but love the sinner” is sarcasm. It’s about how society forgives the wealthy and famous for atrocities, because we recognise their faces.
This song exists to remember the victims. It is a dark and very difficult topic to talk about. But hopefully it can add some awareness, light and hope. Thank you for your shares and your support. More to come.
Wait, you're telling me that running $2 trillion deficits, introducing new taxes on goods, and starting a fresh war in the Middle East, has not been effective at getting the cost of living down?
Stocks are significantly outperforming housing over the US over the long run:
Since 1975, the S&P 500 has delivered an average annual total return of +12.2%.
This is more than double the +5.1% annual gain in US home prices over the same period.
Even without reinvesting dividends, the S&P 500 has still returned an average of +9.3% per year, outperforming house price appreciation.
After adjusting for inflation, the gap is even wider, with the S&P 500's real total return at +8.3% over the last 50 years, nearly 6 times the +1.4% real annual return of US home prices.
At the same time, the S&P 500 excluding dividends and adjusted for inflation has returned +5.4% per year, on average.
Stocks have been a far more powerful driver of wealth creation than housing.

💢 Palestinian Christian athlete and US citizen held without charge since June 2
Natalie Abudayyeh, 21, a Lutheran youth leader and member of the Palestinian women’s national soccer team, will remain in Israeli prison until at least September 23 after a military court hearing Wednesday, her church said.
Bishop Imad Haddad of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land called the ruling “incomprehensible,” saying authorities have denied every bail request and refused to let the family visit or contact her in any way.
She has been held nearly two months without charge at Damon Prison, where prisoners have reported severe conditions and repeated rights violations. Haddad said her family is “losing hope.”
The journalism student was seized at gunpoint from her Birzeit University apartment on June 2 alongside three other women. Among them was Sama Safi, a 20-year-old Palestinian American psychology student from Florida (image 2), who remains at Ofer prison. Her lawyer Lea Tsemel says the case rests on information likely extracted under duress. Safi’s family says she has a chronic condition requiring treatment she has been denied.
Israel was holding over 3,324 Palestinians in administrative detention as of June, among roughly 9,400 held as security prisoners.
