We wanted to share some photos of our Peruvian π΅πͺ immersion students participating in a Sustainable Development Goals lesson, which was also attended by our Head, Mrs. Evans! Students were involved in writing out sustainable promises and goals and planning them through πΏ!
And here they are- our Peruvian immersion students have safely arrived at Wychwood! π΅πͺ
Welcome to the UK π¬π§, welcome to #Wychwood!
We can't wait to show you our school, community and country over the next two weeks!
Let's get this trip started! βοΈ

Last night, pupils from Juan XIII school in #Peru π΅πͺarrived to begin their two week cultural immersion at #Wychwood βοΈ!
We're so excited for the trip to get started- for pupils to join us in classes and also go on excursions in #Oxford, #HarryPotterWorld#London π¬π§ and more!
@itsstillkieran Itβs cured meat. Curing has been used for centuries to keep meat edible for long periods. If you wrap it in cling film it will last at least a week. Youβll know if itβs gone over by smell and if it looks off.
What a fabulous session with our Peruvian partners today @wychwoodschool . We played the Blueberry trading game made by the wonderful @Map_Addict . It was an absolute success and linked to the issues of sustainable food production taught in the session before!
Tim Farron, "The unpleasantness about this debate is only matched by the lack of proper information" #BBCQT
"85% of refugees settle in the country next to where they come from"
"The French take 3x more refugees than we do"
"The Germans take 4x more refugees than we do"
"If you put us back in the European Union, we are 19th in the league table when it comes to the number of refugees we take per capita"
"Do we need deterrents? Yes. The best deterrents is competence. If we assess people when they arrive - and they are not illegal immigrants - they are people seeking asylum.. From Sudan.. Afghanistan.. Iran.. Syria.. 90%+ turn out to be genuine refugees"
"If we have a competent government, and we haven't had one, let's see about this one.. And you assess them quickly.. And return the ones that are not refugees"
"That is your deterrent"
"Rwanda was a waste of money.. If they spent that money on case workers we could have processed these people, returned the ones that weren't refugees in a humane way, and let th eones who are genuine refugees, become British, pay their taxes, be part of our country, and we should be proud to admit them"
Very well said @timfarron π
We're aiming to rebuild bridges between young Europeans on both sides of the Channel.
Today, we've proposed to @EUCouncil to open negotiations with the UK on youth mobility.
This would make it easier for young citizens to study, work and live in the π¬π§ and πͺπΊ.

One of the projects we're the proudest of is the International Peace Conference we offer in partnership with Wychwood School, Oxford. Held in January, this event brings together young minds to discuss vital issues related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 4.7. #SDG4
