Rather than focusing on all that I don’t like, all that I wish was different – which is letting myself turn inward – maybe I should focus on all this season could allow God to do in and through me. In other words, what if I was determined to turn outward?
Whenever I feel emotionally spent for an extended period of time, I can almost always point to one of three things:
I wasn’t taking care of myself physically.
I wasn’t spending quality time with God.
I wasn’t surrounding myself with the right people.
“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” - Exodus 14:14
One of my favorite verses, and something I often need reminded of.
Stay calm, God’s got this.
The world is filled with people who have churchianity, but not Christianity. They have religion, but not relationship. It's dead, lifeless, meaningless...and breaks the heart of God.
Today, @steelers Running Back Coach, @coachfaulk, and all of the runnings backs, blessed one of the women at @LightofLife and her son with everything they had on their Christmas wishlist.
Watching them open their gifts brought tears to my eyes. #Grateful#SteelersNation
“Moses spent his first forty years thinking he was somebody. He spent his second forty years learning he was a nobody. He spent his third forty years discovering what God can do with a nobody.” (Dwight Moody)
I believe you are the answer to someone's prayers. You are an unexpected blessing in someone's life. God wants to use you, and he wants you to have vision for every age and stage of life - including this one.
