@WarmerSun@Tablesalt13 My Liberal MP? What would a boot-licking lackie like a LIberal MP do to change anything? They all represent the party, not the constituents. TL;DR: What a waste of my time that would be.
@WatcherAfar@Tablesalt13 Only until the Canadian government orders them blocked by your Canadian ISP for contravening Canadian law. This is how the Great Firewall of China works.
@davidgpeterson@dom_4goood@pres_reine@ProtonVPN But the potential next step for a government is to order the blocking of your services its country's ISPs, right? Effectively forcing you out of the market and making you unavailable to its residents so that they are then forced to use a VPN that will not buck C-22.
@archangel0x01@CR1337 Basic economics will ensure this is always the case. If it were profitable more (enough) people would do it, increasing the pool and depressing its value until it gets un-profitable.
@shaogens@MMatt14 Just to be pedantic, the (entire) operating system is not Linux. Linux is only the kernel. The bulk of the operating system (tools, libraries, etc.) is actually GNU. Properly stated Ubuntu is "GNU/Linux" . Not just "Linux" .
@CanRevAgency Wait what? For 3 hrs, every day, MyCRA is offline? WTF? Are your IT people so dumb that they can't figure out how to keep things up for > 87.5% every single frickin day? You do realize that the private sector is typically held accountable to >99.9% up-time right?

Why stop at drugs. Suspend all US patents due to the economic emergency they are causing our country and locally produce patented products cheaply for Canadians. Win-win. Canadians get cheap products and the US gets hurt on intellectual property.
@fordnation Tariffs (by Canada) are the wrong tool. Tariffs, although they hurt the exporter (i.e. the USA) they also hurt Canadians. You have the right idea with removing US liquor from LCBO shelves. You had the right idea with export taxes on electricity.
Stop all electricity export to the US entirely (if you have the spine to do that) even. Another tool that Canada has is patents. Canada can suspend US patents in the case of a declared "economic emergency" and start producing US patented products (i.e. drugs) locally.
@petehoekstra Seriously. I cannot believe how out of touch you appear to be. Are you seriously that much out of touch? Are you living under a huge rock or are you just pretending to be? Surely it has to be the latter. Nobody is that out of touch with the US-Can relations.
@petehoekstra Are you effing kidding me? You cannot understand why Canadians are "anti-American"? 51st state and the annexation BS that your big fat orange dick-head of a President spouts. Oh wait, tariffs, and shutting down of the Canadian auto sector. Do I need to go on?
@JonWhoopty Interesting article at https://t.co/uKlPo3Nqz5 but you didn't cover any of the more technical foibles like it's heavy use of CGNAT and the fact that even if you use IPv6 to bypass the CGNAT some users still can't get inbound connectivity i.e. for running home VPNs.
OK. Enough is enough. 3h on hold is just ridiculous.
UPS is clearly a company that is not interested in #cusotmersatisfaction or even just every day business. What contempt a company shows for it's customers to keep them on hold for 3 effing hours!!!!! #upssucksballs#worstco
@X Why does being "verified" mean having to spend money?
Surely I can prove who I am without having to buy something from you, can't I?
I mean, logically, I can. I guess the bean-counters need some education to understand that being verified doesn't mean needing to spend money.
