Gentine. Fanilo. Mourice.
From Benin, Madagascar, and Kenya, you brought the zeal. The effort you invested and the conviction you held for advancing health, human rights, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights have left a meaningful mark on Afya na Haki. Through your research, your questions, and your cross-border perspectives, you deepened our work and pushed our thinking in ways that will stay with us long after your time here.
As you step into the next stages of your journeys, we trust that what you built during the Ahaki Fellowship Programme will travel with you, into your communities, your practice, and the broader African health and rights landscape you are committed to transforming.
It has genuinely been a pleasure working alongside each of you. Continue harnessing Africa's potential.
Through the #AhakiMentorship Programme, mentors will guide mentees in building practical skills, strengthening critical thinking, and developing impactful ideas that challenge systemic injustices and inspire meaningful change.
They bring together deep experience in litigation, advocacy, innovation, policy, research, technology, and curriculum development, united by a shared commitment to advancing reproductive justice across Africa and beyond.
Ginger wonโt save you.
Garlic canโt fight for you.
Clove isnโt your saviour.
You canโt eat garbage all week
Then turn to herbs like theyโre Jesus in a teacup.
Let me break your delusion:
As long as you eat sugar,
As long as you fry with toxic seed oils,
As long as you worship bread and processed carbs,
As long as you are FAT,
Those herbs are just swimming in filth.
Antioxidants donโt work in a toxic body.
They are not magic.
They are support not salvation.
Iโve seen people bloated, inflamed, obese.
Sitting in restaurants with their big stomachs and diabetes symptoms,
Ordering one big glass of โDawaโ
(Honey, ginger, garlic, lemon)
Like it will wash away decades of food abuse.
You cannot detox what you keep toxing.
So donโt waste your money.
Donโt waste your hope.
Donโt insult nature.
First fix your food.
Cut out every inflammatory trash.
โ No sugar.
โ No oils.
โ No wheat.
Fast like your life depends on it because it does.
OMAD. One Meal A Day.
Real food.
Real healing.
Then and only then.
Let herbs rise as soldiers.
Not as slaves trying to clean up your mess.
Healing starts with what you stop putting in your mouth.
Not what you start drinking when itโs too late.
Donโt forget to reach out for a diet plan. Share and tag your friends.

We joined @Ahakiinstituteโs orientation for its pioneer students - selected from 500+ applications, from over 32 African countries - a surreal moment, witnessing a vision come to life.
The day marked the beginning of a new chapter in shaping the next generation of African health policy leaders, built on Africentrism, cultural dignity, and an emphasis on positive African narratives.
The Ahaki Institute is dedicated to transforming health and social justice education in Africa by advancing evidence-based health policies, research, and training through Africentric approaches that generate knowledge and strengthen advocacy capacities.
