NEWS: The city of Chicago will deny the permit moving General Iron to the Southeast Side, a huge victory for environmental activists who pressured Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s administration on the issue after the city signed preliminary deal in 2019.

Southeast Siders are trying to register to the city-run meeting tonight on General Iron permit but being told it's full. This is not community engagement, it's checking a box so that the city can continue with environmentally racism that has made our community a sacrifice zone.
