@JowlUnleashed@yaseeen76 based on his claims, he never exceeded 10k risk in a single trade.
this CONSERVATIVE model never exceeds a position risk of 3k, not even half of the advertised sizing.
if anything, i underestimated.
simply, this is larp or survivorship bias. nothing here is “repeatable”.
@yaseeen76 Is every single one of the trades executed live? These results are highly unrealistic given you are claiming a 3400% MEDIAN return over 2 years is “worse” than your actual p&l.
on what world is a 3400% return even realistic lol
@itsjjsimon suggesting that it’s possible the realize an edge with a trading sample < 10 trades is simply disingenuous….
most trading “edge” will play out precisely like a coin flip until the sample size plays out.
edge does not make it faster, it makes it probable.
@rpxtrades i rebuilt the entire topstepx/tradeovate api pipeline to get access to the account/position websockets, no 30$/mo headache (project x).
built my own terminal that loads all my accounts, strategies, health checks and such.
@ProbableChris@AdamWTrades What’s your process for regime classification? It seems like you’re always ahead of the curve when determining that market conditions have shifted
When IB Hi/Lo formation and 50% Close disagree, the Close wins ~69% by noon.
If the High breaks first but the Close stays bearish, the Close is right 75.8% of the time.
Clearly invalidates "1:1 IB 50 logic" long term without additional filters. Trade the live price.
@NQStats
@AaronBaner@VClouette this is london's entire range coming into NY session. not the "IB" or opening hour of london.
in other words, these stats are the expectancy for a breakout based on a 6 hour range for both Asia and London.
@AaronBaner@VClouette If you mean the concept of “London IB”, the expectancy based on a recent sample:
65 days from today: 54.5%
250 days from today: 52%
Roughly the same as the stats for Globex IB. This doesn’t make the strategy unviable, it simply requires higher risk-reward parameters.
@AaronBaner@VClouette There is a stat I occasionally look for concerning the Asia range, which approximates ~70% expectancy for highs and 65% for lows based on High/Low first criteria. I don’t have the exact numbers here but it has a similar expectancy to NY IB.
