High temperatures, no air conditioning, sleeping with open windows, listening to a neighbor chronically coughing up a lung somewhere nearby, night after night.
#AGBT22 shaping up to be an interesting time this year. Those of you who are going better take some good notes and share with the rest of us! Sequencing hasn't been this exciting in my entire career. "Spatial" biology is well and truly upon us.
If only we, collectively, put as much thought and dedication into solving problems, vs. creating (or propagating) them.
And this is, perhaps unconsciously, what has drawn me to a life of science vs. other opportunities.
