🔥 Candid review from David Ly Khim on my course 'Actionable AI For Marketers' and another really cool AI course, 'Build Your Own Apps'.

@ThatChristinaG Cannot get over this + Callaway's trash statement. Zero accountability, blames goodgood entirely while continuing to do biz w/them?! Where the hell is their pr team?!
Consider how many people approved this from ideation > creation > @goodgood_golf social's social post > @CallawayGolf REPOSTING IT!?!?
Callaway's statement is trash, takes zero accountability for amplifying this & points the finger entirely at goodgood 🤡s (who they will continue to do business with).
@CallawayGolf@goodgood_golf I won’t be buying any @CallawayGolf products after seeing the good good video. Who signed off on this? What’s the message? It’s okay to use violence against women? Women can’t use your products? Or women don’t belong in the game of golf. Really disappointing.
@MelMitchell1@stevenstrogatz Been loving your interviews lately, Melanie!
Was slightly in pain when the NPR interviewer kept asking Claude how & if it "thinks" though. There needs to be more AI literacy/education for non-technical professionals like journalists imo. curious what your thoughts are on that?
My understanding of the Siri <-> Gemini partnership:
Apple has very little AI talent (a common joke/talking point within industry) so they've licensed a custom 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model from Google (fasted way to catch up). Apple is running this model from their own private cloud infrastructure so the AI power comes from Google's model, but Apple maintains control of the data/privacy layer while whitelabeling the tech as "Apple".
Would this be more of a licensing deal then? They're essentially renting the brain and building their own facade ontop.
@jauasia Looked JUST like a calendly link with calendly branding, everything... Said it was a sub brand tho: white pages or something "by Calendly" identical UX..
Some overdue thanks to @BritneyMuller
Much of what I understand about AI search and AI tools traces back to what I've been able to learn in her course "Actionable AI Insights for Marketers" and the entire Orange Labs community.
I've spent 15+ years in SEO and know Google inside and out, but when AI started reshaping search, I wanted to learn from someone doing real work not repackaging hype. That's Britney.
Her course changed how I think about:
🌲 How LLMs actually work under the hood [not the oversimplified version]
🌲 How AI systems select and cite sources
🌲 How to run real tests instead of chasing tactics
🌲 How to use AI in day-to-day work beyond just search
🌲 How to explain all of this to clients in plain language
🌲 Which AI tool is best in varying situations
And beyond the course... the community she's built is full of amazing people testing, sharing results, and being honest about what's still unknown in this space.
There's a lot of noise in AI search, and a lot of certainty being sold in an uncertain time, so I’m grateful to be able to plug into and learn from Britney and the community.
My non-paid endorsement is, if you're serious about understanding AI search and what it means for your business or your clients, take this course and join the community.
