So a while back I posted a thread about the Huntsville, TX reviewing books in the Huntsville City Library for certain types of content and the ensuing pushback from citizens concerned about the library being targeted by anti-LGBT+ opponents. There’s been a new update: (1/4)

(4/4) There is currently a petition requesting @HuntsvilleTexas keep the library managed and ran by city employees. Fears that this choice was made as a retaliation or dismissal of citizen concerns regarding the banning of LGBT books remain unconfirmed for the time being.

Follow up to the situation in @HuntsvilleTexas I mentioned a month or so ago. @HuntsvilleTXPD allegedly now enforcing ban imposed by @HvilleTXChamber on book displays. Books included LGBT+ books and classically banned books such as Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mocking Bird, etc

Please, somebody help me get the word out. Huntsville TX is using POLICE to decide what books are and are not suitable for the citizens to read. TikTok has stalled my last 3 posts as "processing" and I NEED to get some attention on this.
