@ShaneOliverAMP "RBNZ pivots = positive signs for the RBA" - they did the heavy lifting on rates already. Don't see how it's remotely relevant for the RBA given they have been behind the inflation curve relative to global peers (but especially to RBNZ).
@AsxScalper@cjoye March quarter last year was 1.4% which fell out of the annual sample. This biases the annual number down significantly but you can see the clear acceleration in the quarterly data for Dec to March:
@ShaneOliverAMP It's truly staggering the fiscal and monetary over-reach that allowed those buffers to accumulate in the first place, at the cost of rampant inflation and debt for future generations to service
@AvidCommentator The bias apparent in these things is always hilarious to see. "number of rooms lost for renters" as if the properties are being burned down when they sell them. If the properties are being sold to owner occupiers, that's a great outcome.
@AvidCommentator This is why high paid tradies are exempt from Labour's fast track visa scheme - we need to protect these highly skilled geniuses from outside competition. Wouldn't want the quality of workmanship to suffer LOL
@AvidCommentator I don't know what the average household size is for incoming migrants but I seriously doubt it is the average for all households, which seems to be what you're assuming.
@ShaneOliverAMP A lot will presumably depend on how the economic (employment) situation unfolds over the next two years and how many economic migrants we see in we get a meaningful lift in the unemployment rate
@AvidCommentator@ShaunRatcliff How has the labour vote worked out for the non-home owning class this time around? LOL. I struggle to see how Dutton could have done a better job than Albo of shafting this segment of the population over the past 18 months.
@DrCameronMurray I simply can't understand how politicians get pensions for life then go sell their influence the second they leave to the highest bidder. Can't really stop them doing the latter, but why the hell doesn't the electorate push back on the former?
