@Rming2022 @jvernikos @dfat If its the last day you can get your pasport before you travel they let you wait with your piece of paper and when you get the email you can go to the counter. But only on the last day.

Husband and I renewed passports together. His arrived in 2 weeks, 8 weeks later I’m still waiting. Meant to fly out on our honeymoon Tuesday week. Have spent hours on the phone to the office and arrived in queue at 6:30am in Sydney office this morning #anyadvicewelcome @dfat

@Rming2022 @jvernikos @dfat So am I, there were some grumpy people at the front of the line but I get it, that was me at 6:30 and on Tuesday at 6:30 haha! Definitely need to wait for the email, I was given a piece of paper and told that would suffice but it didn't!

@Rming2022 @jvernikos @dfat Unfortuntaley I got to the front and they still didn't have my passport, made it home and recieved the email that it had arrived 😑 Went straight back and arrived at 8:30ish line was WAY longer. Luckily they let me skip to the inside queue, had my passport by 9:40! All the best!

@Rming2022 @jvernikos @dfat I started in line at 6:30am, however when I went back to collect on Thursday the enquiries line was much longer than Tuesday (about 50 people). The collection line was much quicker, there at 6:30am up by 7:40am. However the enquries start at 8:30am the pick ups at 7:30am!

Passport Update: arrived at 6:30am and got to the counter at 7:40am. They said it wasn’t ready and I’d have to come back tomorrow and that I couldn’t wait. Get home and receive the email that it’s ready. Back in line. Hopefully for the last time 🤞🏼

@ironide @dfat I was about 20th in line at 6:30am but at around 7:45am they divided into 2 lines enquiries/collects and people ran and jumped the queue and it was crazy. I got to the counter from the enquiries line at 9:15am. The collects moved much faster.

@Diftikhar001 @dfat No additional update via email etc. but was given a small piece of paper and told I could collect my passport using that tomorrow so 🤞

@dfat Thank you for your reply, very much appreciated. The staff were able to assist me today in person and hopefully I will be able to collect my passport Thursday 🤞

@jvernikos @dfat I had brought everything I applied with orginally but they didn't ask for any of this, will bring again Thursday just in case!

@jvernikos @dfat I made it to the counter at 9:15am, something was done in the system I assume, was given a piece of paper to come back and collect on Thursday! 🤞 However prior to this I had previously spoken on the phone twice and been told I had been prioritized/expedited in the lead up.
