@GenAcc69 You literally just completely straw maned her argument. She literally just said that no one should go to war. What does any of the statistics you’ve presented have to do with what she said?
@Tsar_Martyr Not true at all. Women are objectively better off being able to have their own income and not being forced to be dependent on someone else.
@firstnamenumber@AtheyBng@Michael_Druggan Those instincts are supposed to be used to predict environmental threats, locate resources, etc. not to make harmful assumptions onto a group of people.
@firstnamenumber@Michael_Druggan Stereotypes are generalisations on groups of people. Just because stereotyping is pattern recognition, that doesn’t mean it’s not harmful. That “pattern recognition” leads to harmful biases and assumptions. Either way, stereotyping is still not valid and is harmful.
@enolebotti@Michael_Druggan Never said that. But fine. Stereotyping isn’t valid because it generalises a group of people based on skin colour, gender etc. this isn’t valid and it’s harmful without anything to gain.
@Krissam@Michael_Druggan So what you’re saying is stereotypes can be harmful. If people use an item to harm someone else. Then that item is harmful. Also no, stereotyping doesn’t cause violence against women. A women being cautious around a ma is completely different from a woman stereotyping a man.
@yaygha No one said that. It’s a good things that women are represented more in education. And it’s a bad thing that there’s not that many women at doctoral level. No one’s saying it’s bad that there’s more men at doctoral level.
