A tiny macOS app that puts every browser at your fingertips. Hit ⌘⌥B to launch any browser or profile in an instant. Set a few rules and every link routes itsel
@theodorvaryag There is a way, at least on a Mac: BrowserFairy lets you set rules like all URLs containing e.g. https://t.co/lNFAHpjizz open in a specific Chrome profile.
macOS 27 comes with new security measures for folder access. For browser profiles to work you need to grant permission. Here's how: https://t.co/Z0v3I8I2dr
@_NorthernViking@YouTube BrowserFairy is a tool that acts as your default browser, but actually is a URL router and browser launcher. What this gives you is virtually as many default browsers as you would want. I wondered if you might give it a try.
@PhilShteuck@madhavsinghal_ BrowserFairy can route to a browser or browser profile by URL (substring) and source app (where the URL was invoked). Would this be sufficient for this use case?
@Nycsnark@nytimes Just in case the Times did not listen... You can automate the routing to browser profiles with BrowserFairy or just use it's browser launcher.
@hschhaya Yeah... if you're using multiple browsers to keep things in lanes, you might want to look at BrowserFairy. There's a browser picker you can use to route URLs to a specific browser or profile and you can also automate things with rules.
@Thetafund@NousResearch@Teknium There is actually a default profile in Chrome and that's the one that's going to be launched I guess. If you're running macOS you can give BrowserFairy a try. It allows for routing to different profiles by defining rules that look at URLs.
@MartinBergo You can use BrowserFairy to automate the routing to different Chrome profiles. This is done by defining rules and you can use URL and source app matching.
@TommySedita@NousResearch Dealing with Chrome profiles can get messy. You can fully automate URL routing with BrowserFairy. I wonder if you wanna give it a try?
@aspen_broker@witcheer It looks like you're the perfect user for BrowserFairy! You might wanna give it a try. You can automate the routing of URLs to different browsers and browser profiles.
@ThinkingAtlas1 Hey, I see you're dealing with multiple browser profiles. BrowserFairy is a tool that helps keep browser use in lanes. Think of it as a router for links. I wonder if you mind giving it a try.
