Will AI yield more school dropouts?
Will states uphold their compulsory education laws? Are they rooted in developmental psychology or backed by popular vote?
Those type of responses are.. not fun.. when I am actively verifying the work that I instruct it to do.
However, it hits different when using it for learning vs getting stuff done.
Still incredibly useful either way!
The deeper I get into it with the LLM asking it to help me learn XYZ, the more I start thinking for myself…
Can’t quite tell if the model is BS’ing me, or if this is some strange way of “helping me learn”.
At the start, things are simplified / glossed over / omitted. Only to get into them later on..
But it gets to a point where I’m really thinking about it: “wait, but…” / “actually, I think..” followed by the dreaded: “You are absolutely, 100% correct.”
When you press Enter key… does it insert a \n or does it “make it go!”…?
This is a simple unsolved problem.
Either standardize and make all humans converge. Or… train an AI to predict this intent?
When will we accept what AI is?
Its uplift—which we obviously need to migrate to.
Its limits—we are not getting flying cars or immortality for a very, very long time…
Can someone please define so we can get on with our merry way?
