@Honda I bought an odyssey for my wife & civic for son b/c I believed you to be a quality mfg w/ good customer care. Now I have a 3yo civic w/ less than 45K miles that needs a $2,600 dollar AC repair after a $100 diagnostic. Turns out ‘17 Civics are known this. #thisisnotright
Anachronistic names have been routinely changed in Baptist life to better reflect mission. FMB to IMB, HMB to NAMB, Annuity Board to Guidestone. With Baptists in all fifty states, SBC no longer reflects who we are. Let’s identify with our mission, #GreatComissionBaptists
@johnmarkclifton Never preach again? No. Not serve as a pastor? Yes, I’ve wrestled with leaving the pastorate at certain moments/seasons of my life and ministry.
@tedcruz Whereas I do not agree at all with all the transgender craziness or other leftist nonsense, I’m a Christian first and refuse to stoop to the base, crass kind of stuff you’re doing with your post. I’m disappointed you would do this. I expected more from you Senator.
@sbawulski @dpcassidyC3 I’m not trying to be contentious/argumentative...even when u focus on policy & criticize either or both parties on those issues while u work to do ministry on those issues, u still have to select someone in the polls.
@sbawulski @dpcassidyC3 Doing all but internat’l Church. As a pastor of a local congregation, working to see it become multi-ethnic. But specifically, in terms of political options, what do u suggest? While offering criticism of both parties, I still don’t see a 3rd option to choose in nat’l elections.
@sbawulski @dpcassidyC3 Seems like u‘re spouting esoteric criticism w/o suggestions for us who havent had your perspective. Agree w/ u that the Xian doesn’t neatly fit in either party & our Kingdom orientation should make us care for more than 1 issue. But don’t see an option beyond the < of 2 evils.
@MauricePogue83 @dpcassidyC3 Spot on. Neither party aligns with a wholistic Biblically driven view of all the issues. BUT we’re still left to choose 1 of the 2, & frankly 1 seems to me further off the mark than the other on issues that are crystal clear Biblically. So I’m forced to choose lesser of 2 evils.
To be politically homeless is one of the best things that could happen to the spiritual lives of people who are “elect exiles,” “sojourners,” and “strangers.” Politically homeless better fits the Christian’s true identity. Let’s live into that identity.
@RamsesPrashad@louiegiglio Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. Really dumb statement regarding slavery on Giglio’s part, one which makes the vast majority of Christians cringe nauseously as we listen to it. But it doesn’t make the Gospel less true.
@wis10 in addition to telling us how many new COVID cases, please begin getting & giving answers to these questions:
1. “How many Covid hospitalizations?”
2. “How many Covid ICU patients?”
As I have watched the events in Minneapolis unfold the last few days I have wondered & prayed about how I should respond. Below are my thoughts. I hope you read the whole thing because the final thought is most important. Romans 12:21 🙏🏽
