Greek shipowners positioned crude carriers near India and East Africa, anticipating a surge in freight rates if the Persian Gulf reopens.
However, the fear is that by the time the strait opens, their ships will be covered in so many barnacles they won't be able to move.
Almost 60% of Brits reject giving up sovereignty in return for more access to the EU single market. 👇
Only 27% approve.
2-1 against Labour's "reset". Starmer has no mandate for it.
@YouGov polling for @BritainUnbound.

@AahanPrometheus It’s an interesting one. In cost push inflation environment like this I’m not sure I’d agree as companies if anything should be struggling more so should find it harder to raise wages
To suggest this has the feel of 2022 has me puzzled. 2022 went from zero rates and in large increments. Today it feels more likely the Fed does nothing all year but we are debating over 25bps here and there
@sunchartist It’s amazing how this platform comes to life on these big red days….”the bubble is bursting”…..”stocks to 6500 by end of month”…..”I told you liquidity was evaporating”
@briangobosox People trying to make a name for themselves. Become recognised or perhaps being cynical to help sales desks. No different to doom mongering on here but with a different tilt to it
This month marks Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month.
Despite facing discrimination in many areas of life, our Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities have long contributed to life in our capital and today we celebrate that rich legacy.
"You are not likely to see Henry Nowak’s words stenciled on a mural. No corporation will change its logo. The same establishment that made a few words immortal when spoken by a black man in Minneapolis has met the same words, spoken by a white boy dying on a British street, with what can only be described as a determined, institutional silence. That silence is not neutral. It is a statement. It tells you exactly whose suffering the system has decided counts, and whose does not."
Ever considered that the Iranian tweets might be complete nonsense or not even the individuals themselves at all…or that the news agencies are spewing headlines just as propaganda. Everyone on here has total confidence that the administration is making no progress
@tuvidux Have you seen actual evidence of the Iralco smelters being offline? We know one site was bombed and damaged but I haven’t seen concrete proof they are offline
Well said. It’s baffling how one of the most diverse countries is tormented from within as being racist while merely wanting to place some limits on immigration and ensuring cultural integration
TRANSLATION: "Every country except Britain is allowed to have its own culture & if you don't accept this form of racial prejudice, you're racist."
There is no permutation of organised 'far-right' presence in Britain today that is as dangerous, divisive & discriminatory as this.
This is not so. The surplus is just currently building in the Chinese market. Chinese demand is cratering, likely to be down this year by 5-7% if the trend continues. Production is also growing while imports have dropped to nearly zero into China
@abcampbell That guy is pointless chatting with. You cant say anything negative about China without sending him into overdrive. The word “tetchy” springs to mind…
