In the #Fedora Files app (GNOME Nautilus), you can mount nfs shares directly by typing in nfs://A.B.C.D/sharename into the location bar if you install gvfs-nfs.

Is the same thing possible in #Ubuntu 24.04? There is no gvfs-nfs package and all the other things related to nfs I have installed are not working.

OpenBSD 7.6 is here and is the 57th release! My favorite improvements are S0 suspend (instead of only S3), SMP improvements, support for my laptop's umb(4) WWAN card, and improvements in running OpenBSD/arm64 on Apple Silicon hardware. That means that the words and tears of the offender are never sufficient indicators of the reality of what is going on inside his/her mind and heart. Such deception is very entrenched and slow to change. An abusive person eventually loses the capacity to discern truth from lies.

One of the things both research and experience make very clear about those who abuse is that they deceive themselves about their actions, their motives, about the victim and about the impact of their behavior. They have habituated deceit.

@chriscappuccio Also, does it appear that the 2242 size SSD can be replaced easily? I normally buy ThinkPads and remove the stock SSD and replace with my own. If I ever sell it, I put the stock back in and I'm done.

@chriscappuccio So they're trying to make it feel very traditional and what you'd expect from a ThinkPad laptop. That's interesting. Do Firefox and Iridium (or some other usable browser) work reasonably? I see there are aarch64 packages for quite a few browser options.

@chriscappuccio That sounds at least workable. Is there a "BIOS" interface to shut off the Wi-Fi chip and other unused stuff (camera, Bluetooth, etc.)? I haven't used any arm64 hardware like that yet.

@__mfm_ I never bought the net6501 and then was disappointed when Soekris went out of business. I had so many of their earlier systems all over my networks years back. I pretty much only ran @openbsd on them and they were rock solid.
