WHERE'S ALL THE "EXTRA" GLOBAL WARMING COMING FROM?
METHANE!!!
Only 1% compared to CO2, short-term Global Warming Potential/Global Temperature Potential is 120 times greater (Paul Balcombe et al).
End result, EQUAL contribution to atmospheric heating!
A slowly METHANE BOMB!
@RogerCoppock What about the immediate-term for CH4 warming effect, and the "short-life" of about 10 years? Decaying at about 8% per year, means a huge replacement flow, that does not seem to be mentioned or accounted for... Thank you, cheers. Roger
@RogerCoppock Please do not use a straight line through data that may not be linear. Use a power, exponential or other curve to look for non-linera correlations.
Temperature is one, methane another and likely CO2.
Thank you
Then project it forward 10, 20 or 40 years. It will likely scare you
@bob_fedderly@JohnRustad4BC Hi Bob. 3 of 4 Nordic countries increased GDP, without extracting fossil fuels. BC can emulate the leaders, or Norway, who chose fossils, and environmental destruction.
@AssaadRazzouk@pmagn What % and timing on the price increases? How much of the increase was speculators betting on "futures", ie price increases? How much of the increase went to farmers?
@Harold_Steves Love the Steveston area! Do you offer guided walks or bike rides explaining the importance of shoreline grasslands, and fresh/tidal areas for young fish habitat?
Cheers
@WeDontHaveTime The carbon free future starts with REDUCTION, buying and using less, including flying and imported goods. Then substituting the 1/8 remaining, with electricity.
@CNBC Where is Mark Carney, PM of Canada's response? Close the US border. Seize US assets. Cut off oil, gas and electricity exports.
This global wickedness cannot be tolerated.
@LeonSimons8@ECMWF@CopernicusECMWF@tugberksamur@danmiller999@ClimateDad77@WeatherProf Please stop using linear, straight lines, through data that is not linear. Climate change is accelerating. Please use polynomial curves that fit the data and show increasing change. When you do that, predicting temperature increase is frightening. Maybe 2C by 2030!
@ryankatzrosene This is a warning. When Europe loses its glaciers, it loses its fresh water, agriculture, fish, soils, forests. It is a cascading calamity, not just a village destroyed.
