@gailalfaratx I think our grandkids will look back at us in horror... "you mean you could actually manually drive a half tonne of metal at 70 mph and the car did not check you were sober before it allowed this.."
@CernBasher Great assessment of the potential TAM. I think the secret sauce is simply building DC's faster than competitors. Some options may be best served with acquisitions or partnerships, perhaps Palentir in the Enterprise space for example
@CernBasher@pbeisel The question IMHO is not if, but when. Priority should be robotaxi ramp for Tesla and putting Starship into productive operation for SpaceX... merger would take cycles away from Elon at a critical juncture
@nfergus Disagree with point 1. Kissinger's quote was asking whether Iran was a country or a cause. Bad military dictatorships unfortunately are common, but they are not causes... would expect a gradual focus on money and power, not global Islamic revolution... lesser of two evils
I'm sure Jim Farley is so happy Jensen is pushing the envelop. He's having to give up on EV's after a massive write-off... now the autonomy effort Ford had a few years back that went south, has to be revived with not much more chance of success. BTW given Ford is producing gas cars, even if they get NVDA's autonomy to a production vehicle, they potentially miss on the biggest market opportunity which is Robotaxi's... bet he's smiling all the way to the office
