Or on the winter mornings. You soon learn everyone's routines and if someone appears that doesn't fit the norm you become hyper aware. More so when you have to pass them and they smell like drink and clearly have been out all night.
@KateEMcCann Iโm like this walking the dog in the evening when itโs dark. Itโs always, always there, that hyper awareness of surroundings and planning what Iโd do. Itโs annoying and exhausting!
I don't know any women who haven't been affected by what's happened to Sarah. Her disappearance has been a horrifying reminder that every time we say "text me when you're home safe" it's for a reason. In 2021 it's not safe to walk alone at night - and it's SO close to home
Today lots of young girls, and indeed adult women, will hear a lecture from their parents about not walking alone. I wonder how many young boys will hear about misogyny.
