"Darkness is killing wealth creation," Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo told the Electricity Regulatory Authority @ERA_Uganda .
She stressed that rural welders, salon operators, and maize millers cannot work without stable power, warning agencies that unreliable electricity directly sabotages the livelihoods of rural communities President @KagutaMuseveni 's core base. @hopeainomugisha@BruceMusimenta
Creating real opportunities for young people is our top priority. In a recent meeting with the PPDA Secretariat, Youth Members of Parliament and NYC Chairman @DanielOngom_A called for two critical actions: stronger enforcement of the youth reservation scheme to support contract execution, and a youth-led feedback system to track challenges.
This initiative continues to open doors for the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs. @kamukamafredie@UPFYA_2008
CDF Gen @mkainerugaba hosted Egypt's GIS chief, Gen. Mohamed Ashraf, at SFC HQ in Entebbe. Backed by the strategic vision of Presidents @KagutaMuseveni and Al-Sisi, the leaders locked in deeper intelligence-sharing, regional stability frameworks, and vital bilateral partnerships. @kamukamafredie@DaudiKabanda
Modernizing our systems through reliable biometric tech means faster, safer, and better services for all Ugandans. Great initiative by Hon. Minister @HonWitonze Kisekka and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. @hopeainomugisha@kaitesishi
Following the April 2025 UMEME exit, Ugandans expected reliable power. Instead, persistent UEDCL blackouts are paralyzing businesses and sabotaging the wealth creation agenda, the very foundation of President @KagutaMuseveni's legacy.
SPA Hajjat Namyalo @ChiefMuzzukulu has boldly told ERA and the public the raw truth: we cannot achieve economic transformation in total darkness. The Bazzukulu want actions, not technical excuses about aging infrastructure.
We back the call for Parliament to launch an immediate forensic audit into the Shs 1.71 Trillion in connection funds and demand accountability for the backlog of 400,000+ unconnected citizens who paid for power but remain in the dark. UEDCL must deliver or clear the way! @UEDCLTD@hopeainomugisha@DickensOkello99@mkainerugaba
The ONC Manager, SPA Hajjat Namyalo @ChiefMuzzukulu today hosted officials from the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) at Kyambogo to confront the persistent issues of power outages and delayed electricity connections across Uganda.
Despite the country generating 2,098MW against a demand of 1,345MW, power remains highly unreliable for local consumers. While ERA officials cited challenges like vandalism, overloaded transformers, and an aging grid network, Hajjat Namyalo demanded immediate accountability.
She has called for a comprehensive forensic audit of Shs 1.71 Trillion managed by UEDCL and demanded immediate justice for over 400,000 Ugandans who have fully paid for connections but remain unserved.

Facts matter, @MwesigyeFranks and your team.
Hajjat did not oppose the succession plan; rather, she offered guidance on how it should be implemented.
Let us always double-check our information before putting it out to avoid misleading the public.
@BruceMusimenta@dem_opondo
It's very sad that those we expect to be role model are the one's leading in spreading false information. What kind of examples are we giving to others?
We must refrain from circulating or disseminating false information. Official communication from CEC must be be published or released by the Secretary General Rt Hon @TodwongR not anyone seeking public attention.
Uganda didn't fight UMEME to inherit darkness. We fought for reliable , affordable and dignified power.
For the welder, the student, the mother and the factory, electricity must be on. Not tomorrow, today.
Fix the grid, deliver on the promise.

Restoring public trust starts with putting citizens first. Saluting State Minister Hon. @HonWitonze Kisekka for pushing meaningful, efficiency-driven changes at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. @mia_uga@hopeainomugisha@kaitesishi
