This line from Atomic Habits isn't ready to leave my head:
"It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."
Money can solve your material wants which you truly care about.
What do you truly care about?
If it is not solved, you probably don’t care about it enough.
Hot take:
Every company will need a company brain.
Not a wiki.
Not a docs folder.
One system that knows:
- what’s true
- what changed
- what to do next
Teams that build this now will move faster than teams that keep it in people’s heads.
Genuine question:
If a solo founder can raise $30M with an agent handling investor replies and the data room, what exactly is left for the old startup org chart?
@polsia is not a gimmick, it's a preview.
Are we underestimating how fast agents become the default operator?
The loudest thing about @karpathy joining @AnthropicAI is how quiet the title is.
Member of Technical Staff.
No theatre. No ego. No artificial seniority.
Just raw technical depth going back to the work.
That’s the culture AI needs 👏
Product idea:
An app that takes today’s top headlines, run @karpathy’s iterative argument/counter argument loop, summarize both sides and send it to me so I can read both sides and come to my ow conclusion.
🚨 Are you paying attention to what Karpathy just admitted..
the founding member of OpenAI.. the guy who trained the models you use every day.. just said every single LLM has the same problem..
ask it one question two months ago and it treats it like your entire identity..
oh wait.. you mentioned crypto once in January? congratulations.. you're now a crypto guy forever.. you also asked about a recipe? every conversation starts with "as someone who enjoys cooking.."
these models don't remember you.. they stereotype you.. off a single data point..
we gave AI a photographic memory and forgot to give it the ability to forget.. and forgetting is the most human thing there is..
we are officially in the one night stand era for ai apps.
insanely high virality driven by the algorithm combined with consumers willing to spend roughly 10 to 20 dollars to try something new and if it doesn't work they just move on to the next thing.
in the past most devs would wait for something to be proven before trying it. let the community validate it first, then decide. let alone pay for something.
this has shifted for ai apps. people are paying to try. nobody's waiting for proof anymore.
